Btw, this forum does not shout "Read the Bible for yourself, people! It's the only way to the Truth™" to me (I like how you guys are separating your Truth ™ from the truth, btw). It says "We are going to tell you exactly what to believe, then make you read the Bible to get to the Truth ™. If you don't listen, you shall burn in hell!"

Are we looking at the same website? We are constantly and continually telling people to read the Bible. I personally feel that the Bible and its influence in world culture cannot be overstated. If you want to understand much of human history, you need to read the Bible. If you want to participate in the future of this country and have any impact over the direction that it will take in the remainder of the 21st century, then it really, really,really helps if you know the Bible and understand its importance to a large percentage of Americans.


Also, God in the Bible condemns people to burn in hell. I'm not really in charge of that.

As for my anger, I do not intend to come across angry.

Whenever someone contradicts me without solid evidence, I tend become annoyed.

You're annoyed?! What about us? The only evidence that Bible-believers care about is the Bible, and you seem to be completely oblivious to that fact. Please, find me a verse that says that video games are godly, then we'll talk.

When it's about one of my favorite pastimes, I become even more annoyed.

Yeah, well one of my favorite pastimes is hanging out on this forum and regaling people with Bible verses and fun Bible stories about mass murder and making virgins marry the men who rape them. Oh, and alliterations, I alliterations.


As for becoming annoyed, I can sort of relate. I put a lot of energy into creating a clever or meaningful closing to each and every one of my posts, and no one really seems to appreciate the effort. I imagine that Jesus does, because I enjoy thinking fun thoughts.

Nikku my friend I am afraid you have made these white people angry. They have tolerated me very well even though I am not white or Baptist and they have come to love me though I often find myself under rebuke. The secret is to never argue with white people. All Black men are aware of this procedure so I must assume that you are a white man. Why do not you act friendly and stay a while?

I tried to start off friendly. I'm not the kind of person who tries to get on someone's bad side. That being said, if it comes across to me that someone is trying to get on my bad side, chances are, they'll see it.

The Lord willing, your contribution will be the final crack in some heathen's foundation of sin and rebellion, they'll recognize how foolish, and frankly ridiculous, their own lives are, and will beg Christ's forgiveness for having wasted so much oxygen lo these many years.

If you are referring to Salvation™, it is because our church is the only one with Christ ordained pastors who can guarantee it! You see, anyone semi familiar with the Holy Bible and a love for being treated like a local celebrity can stand on at a podium and tell people what to do. It should come as no surprise that the clergy attracts psycopaths more than most other professions. The difference is that Landover Baptist Church is Jesus' own personal favorite church because we preach the Holy Bible. Every. Single. Word, and we make no apology for that. We know the Word of God means what It says an says what It means, and therefore can be trusted to be followed for the sake of Salvation (2 Timothy 3:16).

PS: people here are really kind. From the distance they seem to be a bunch of rednecks, intolerant, conservative, racist, sexists and homerphobic weirdos.
Looking closer, they are a group of God loving people that don't want to go to hell, and want to save as many people. They do as the Bible says. If you think they are wrong, then you think that God is wrong.

I have no doubt that you're right about the people here. I know these people are kind. As for getting together sometime, I'm afraid that will be impossible... We live in different hemispheres

We want you to read the Bible as we have and then consider the required commitment it takes to follow its every word, just as God commands. When you have done that, our discussions here will take on a whole new dimension.


You won't be fussing about video games and other trivial concerns, because you will want the whole world to know the Truth™ about , just as we do.


Helping the world escape the confusion about living a Christ-centered life and worrying all the time about going to hell is a noble goal. It's far more worthy than rescuing a pixelated princess from an Italian plumber. Isn't that one of those alarmingly violent video games that the kids are all caught up with these days?

One last thing. The game you're talking about is called Mario. You play as an Italian plumber going to save a princess who was kidnapped. I entered this site because I stumbled upon it as I was doing research for a paper (I'm in college). As for being friends, in terms of IQ, that would be fine. However, if you want to actually be my friend, you have to be tolerant of other cultures and lifestyles. I don't really get the feeling that this site has many people like that...

Please back away slowly from this thread and cursor up the screen to the "Jesus is xenophobic and so should we" thread. It is chock full of Biblical goodness about the concept of tolerance.


And one more time I will point out that this is a forum created for the edification of Bible-believers. We allow those who have questions about the Bible as long as they are willing to read and discuss the Bible.


You want to learn about other cultures and lifestyles, go to the National Geographic website. (Though, I hear that they have been known to feature naked brown people in their magazine.) Here, you can learn about the culture of Bible Times™.


Back in the good old days, when people from other cultures were wiped out with the sword and their lands were appropriated without a lot of unnecessary "white guilt". It was a glorious time when people knew without question that God was real and in charge and did what He asked without really asking questions.


It was a time when witches weren't allowed to live, men who lay with other men were readily condemned and a man could pay a fair price for a virgin bride, and if she wasn't a virgin, the "refund" would come in the form of stoning her to death.


I especially like the fact that women knew their place. None of this nonsense where a woman could tell a man what to do, or try to instruct him about God's Word. If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the Bible. You're gonna LOVE the Pauline writings!

Adam Lanza, the man who committed this horrible deed, spent the majority of his time playing said video games. However, it was proven that he had a slew of untreated mental disorders, because his mother decided to accommodate for them, rather than seek help.
