I know that Sister Basilissa is not easily satisfied. It takes work to do so - much more than you have shown.

We here at Landover Baptist Church use the Scriptures as our basis for every single thing. Bible scholars such as myself can tell you that while the sin of Eden involved believing a lie from the father of lies, that old serpent, the devil, it was NOT the original sin. The original sin was disobedience to God's instructions not to eat of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. God wanted us to be ignorant so He could control us, but He was not a dictator so He gave us free will - and wow, did we screw that up. LOL Praise God.

You also can't pick and choose Bible verses to prove your point (2 Timothy 3:16-17). That is the mark of someone who hasn't any faith in his statements.

This is somewhat hilarious. Your arrogance is misplaced. Perhaps I read 11% of the Bible, for some reason most christians know less of the word of god. Didymus has greater knowledge of the bible than you and that is why you mention his reputation. At this forum that would only be a poorly chosen ad hominem.

My bad, to tell the truth - even though it supports the problem of lying again - I usually was Catholic. I am new to the Christian community. I hope God can forgive my rudeness.

As we are on the topic of sins, you might be also interested in this thread.

As far as Mr. Did-he-miss-much, we allow him to lurk around due to his knowledge of the Holy Bible. He read all of it, you know, which means that he's closer to Salvation than many so-called Christians who didn't bother to read it - they kinda assumed that being a Christian is like scrolling through and clicking the "I Agree" button without reading first what they are agreeing to. Well, they are wrong. Hence, I keep Didymus on my prayer list and I hope that one day he will see the Light and convert.

Not really... you might find it helpful to review the thread on the severity of each of the 10 Commandments based on the punishments for not following them. Lying, in fact, doesn't even make that list, which makes it less severe than the least severe of the Big Ten (which would be the 9th and 10th).

I just wanted to thank you for listing the songs, I really liked some of them. By the way, I'm neither a satanist if some of you may assume that, nor am I an atheist. I simply criticize the way of "modern" day christianity behaving like missionaries. Christmas is NOT christian (Jesus wasn't even born in winter..), it's called Jul, it's the same thing with "hell", you just took our word for Helheim... There was neither Christmas nor "Hell" before the christians knew that we have such things, then they hijacked them when they invaded Europe, to convince the people to accept christian beliefs.
I tolerate other religions, but I can't and won't tolerate lies or half-truths.
