Thats what I meant, if you for some reason or another sin, and you are truly sorry, and pray for God's forgiveness, He will forgive you. But how do we know that you can't ask for forgiveness in the next life?

Look at the story of Lazarus and the Rich man. It says they die, and immediately they go to either heaven or hell. There's no chance for apologizing.

I am juding by your reply, and I quote "Now, as you were saying?" that you are not a sinner?

I am wondering if you actually study scripture, as any theologian should, or just read whatever parts you see fit, determine your own understanding and preach it to your congregation, Pastor Peters. If you did actually study scripture then you would have realized your contradiction in using those scriptures. If you are right, then please tell me why it says in 1 John 1:8, "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not is us" (KJV). Also, if you studied scripture, then you would know that those two verses you quoted don't say that we don't sin, but that we are sinners but should not sin habitually.

Please give me your thoughts.

You can pray for Gods forgiveness all you want but if your not saved your going to Hell says so right in the Bible like it or not God makes the Rules not Us

Perhaps they would be more willing to convert and become straight if they were shown more compassion by Christians?

Reading through many of the posts on this thread, I have learned a lot. Much has confirmed what I already thought, but nevertheless I feel I must question the notion that compassion involves accepting the unacceptable. God is quite clear in his message to us, the word is written. Homosexuals will burn in the fires of hell.

Is compassion embracing these degenerates as if they were normal, knowing they will burn ? I would say it is telling them the truth of the Lord, straight and unabridged!

When confronted by the truth of their impending eternal damnation they at least have an opportunity to repent. To cast out the demon within that is giving them their unnatural urge. Through the Lord, any sinner can be saved. Every day they live with their degeneracy they are closer to an eternity of hellfire.

I would say the fine people on this forum are as compassionate as I have ever seen. Through the truth of the Lord Jesus, more will be saved from damnation. If that isn’t compassion I don’t know what is.

No, dying in sin sends you to hell. You can't be forgiven of your sins after you die, you have to ask for forgiveness in this life. What Jesus means is that blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is the only sin He won't forgive anyone of.

God says that those who are sinless go to Heaven, and he will torture everyone else for ever and ever in the Hell He has created for that purpose.

Actually, A) we can not know for sure who goes to Hell, only God knows that and the only sure way of going to Hell that is stated in the bible is to commit the unforgivable sin.

LUKE 12:10, "And everyone that says a word against the Son of Man, that will be forgiven; But he that blasphemes against The Holy Spirit will not be forgiven."

Your characterization may have some merit BUT, you apply it to ALL men who experience same-gender-affection, which is not synonymous with Anal sex. My advice is that you read your Bible, and learn God's law - rightly divide the word - and separate BEHAVIOR from the things that God does not prohibit. Read the story of David & Jonathan. Surely they didn't engage in sexual fetishes offensive to God, but they also were closer - their souls were knit to one another - than average 'friends'.

Yesterday, after prayers, I went to my sisters home, and was very polite, I asked her why she doesn't want me around ?. Why she ignores me and tries to look like the perfect daughter?. Her answer has really upset me. All of my family think i'm a loon, ( her words ). When I asked why?. She replied with a cruel tone in her voice, that all the God stuff that I've always spoken of makes them all think I'm as mad as a March hare.!! She also says that while I'm spouting nonsense, my Father is getting more and more ill, and she says that I should be more concerned over dad.How much more can I do?. I am not coddling my Father anymore,I love him, but I am not pitying him.
So the only thing I've done wrong is to believe in Jesus, and to love Our Lord. This has hurt me deeply. But my love of God will not be changed by anyone. So if they don't like my way then I will stay away from them.After all at least I have Jesus in my heart.He is all I need.

I already have decided to do that. Just because they don't believe, doesn't make me a nutcase because I do.!

So today I am with the Lord and he'll guide me. I can't go wrong with his backing.
