Re: Make homosexuality punishable by death: A letter for congress
You are all sick, you think people should die for not believing what you believe. This thread is a hateful, and you should be reported for such a sick thought.
I also saw a fair amount of racism in this thread, which is also wrong, would god really want you to hate people for being different then you? If he/she is so tolerant, (according you your logic) why would he/she want you to hate/kill people for being different then you.

The fact that you believe it doesn't make it any less silly. Those belief systems contradict one another; how can so many mutually exclusive belief systems all be the word of God? Oh, by the way, the Hindu Vedas were written in Sanskrit, the Buddhist sutras were written in Sanskrit and Pali, and there is no language called Sikh.6) I believe the word of God is written in many languages such as Hindi (Hinduism), Sikh (Sikhism), Mandarin (Confucianism and Buddhism), Arabic (Islam), Hebrew (Judaism) and in English (Christianity, Unitarian Universalism, and Rastafari)

You haven't respected my opinions, so I'm not going to respect yours
I have several things to say:
1) I'm not trying to recruit you into homosexuality
2) I'm not persecuting you, persecution is the murder and abuse of homosexuality since civilization began
3) The third world isn't a cess pool
4) Your respect (or lack there of) for other people and other cultures is truly non Christian
5) Full Metal Jacket is a good movie and your avatar is cool
6) I believe the word of God is written in many languages such as Hindi (Hinduism), Sikh (Sikhism), Mandarin (Confucianism and Buddhism), Arabic (Islam), Hebrew (Judaism) and in English (Christianity, Unitarian Universalism, and Rastafari)
7) I wasn't preaching anti-Christianity, I'm preaching exactly what my username is: Reason, Logic, and Justice. Which is apparently to much for y'all to handle
8) I'm worth more than "unsaved trash" and I don't like it that my existance is "under investigation
9) Don't judge me as you will never meet me and I'm truly thankful for that
10)Listen to some Bob Marley, it'll help your narrow-minded Bible-humping minds "simmer down"
11) You were obviously brainwashed as a kid, please don't do so to your own. I don't want my kids to deal with your kids in the future

Re: Make homosexuality punishable by death: A letter for congress
10 Reasons Why Gay Marriage Should Be Legal:
1) Don’t tell other people how to live their lives.
That’s just wrong. Stop enforcing your own beliefs, whether they be religious or personal, onto other people on how to live their lives. Just because its illegal doesn’t mean its immoral and there IS a difference between the two. Besides do you people enjoy keeping other people from reaching their maximum happiness? If you do then you have a sick f----d up look on life. Its there life and they have a right to do with it whatever they want.
2) If you don’t like gay marriage, don’t get one and SHUT UP.
If you dislike it, don’t get one that’s the best way to disapprove of the institution.
3) Politicians don’t give a damn
You might think they do, but they don’t. Being pro-life and anti-equality (essentially what rejecting gay marriage is) is the best way to appeal to hard core Christians. These Evangelicals make up a huge portion of the United States population (15-25%). In other words if the Evangelicals vote, they decide the election. Therefore the Evangelicals are a strategic force to have on your side. Should that politician ever counter a politician who supports gay marriage, he/she will use gay marriage as an appeal to the Evangelical population and drastically tip the odds in their favor. Don’t you see? You’re being used and manipulated.
4) Liberty
The now unelected politician who supported gay marriage actually cared about peoples liberty and therefore should’ve been the who got elected. Because you see that’s what liberty is: defending the rights of those who you disagree with. Would I ever get a gay marriage? No. But I’m here willing to defend to rights to those who just want to live with the person they fell in love with and be recognized as a legitimate couple.
5) Love=Love
Didn’t your parents teach you that in loving other people, you should love them for whats on the inside and not on the outside?
6) Marriage
Divorce rates in this country are at an all time high. Heterosexual marriage has arranged marriages, celebrity marriages that last weeks if not days, Mormons marrying 2 wives, marriages started only b/c one of them was pregnant, and high divorce rates. I think that homosexual marriage probably has less divorce rates than heterosexual for one main reason. If heterosexual marriage is a commitment, homosexual marriage is a HUGE commitment. B/c your commiting to one another that you’ll stay together and try to put food on the table, WHILE people are questioning your rights, life, and most importantly your value as a human being. They know they have to endure that. The average homosexual marriage will be almost guaranteed to go through more s--t than the average heterosexual marriage ever would making them just as valid.
7) The Value of Every Human Life
There is a religion in the US called the Unitarian Universalism. It has 9 principles and the first is “to affirm and promote the inherent worth and dignity of every person.” Not surprisingly the UU is one of the only religions that completely supports gay marriage. Not recognizing LGBTs as people who are entitled to all rights is not respecting their rights and their value as a human being. The lack of respect for other people who are different is a fatal flaw in judgement that holds mankind back.
8) Look at whose side your on
Ever hear of the Fred Phelps of the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, KS? Wikipedia it. That’s whose side your on if you think gay marriage is immoral. He and other Exremeists believe homosexuals aren’t even fully human and deserve to die. I heard something similar to that existed back in the 1930s when a militant Central European state claimed homosexuals, Jews, and gypsies were not fully human. It was hard to understand though because the narration was in GERMAN. I’m not claiming all people who don’t support homosexuality is a Nazi, I’m just making a comparison between Fred Phelps and Adolf Hitler.
9) The Bible
The Holy Bible is a 2000+ page holy book for the Christian religion. Most Christians who don’t support homosexuality or gay marriage point to Leviticus 18:22 which says:
“Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable/abomination”
Leviticus also claims slavery is OK which most of us agree its not. I think its bs if you’re going to keep people from being happy, harass people, and claim they should die and go to hell all over a 15 word line in a 2000 page book. The ratio is slightly off in my opinion. What Jesus taught was to love not judge and respect people and live in harmony. The extremists do the opposite to these teachings. You can’t preach hate and ignorance over 15 words yet ignore peace, love, harmony, respect, and forgiveness which safe to say takes up more than 15 words of the Bible.
10) Think for yourself
Don’t let the Bible, your parents, your coworkers, your preacher, the media, the politicians, or anybody else tell you what to think. Think for yourself and if you’re rational and respectful than you should make the right decision.

Re: Make homosexuality punishable by death: A letter for congress
My answers are in red below.Originally posted by SCOPE. View PostHahaha, you are quite hilarious.
Heres some THINGS to think about
You say where did space come from? Where did matter come from?
Where did God come from? God didn't have to come from anywhere. Unlike space and matter, God is God
Your answer is going to be the same as mine, he/it was always there. It would be the same if the Creator were the same as the creation, which He obviously isn't.
Matter wasn't always perfectly organized. For billions upon billions of years, it was nothing. We know that matter wasn't always perfectly organized. Gen. 1:2: And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Single celled animals and plants evolved to compete with the other species. They evolved to survive. How do you know? Were you there?
If God is so great, why did he have a kid? Do you know what a non sequitur is?
Why wouldn't he save his son from tortue? Seems like a horrible father, alot like my own. The Father and the Son are both God. God temporarily sacrificed Himself to Himself to give Himself permission to avert His own wrath, and that's the gratitude that you show to Him?
Yes, I've paved my road to hell. I agree.
But it doesn't exist. Prove it. So I'd happily repave it.
If I knew for a fact that there was a god, i would change my whole lifestyle to suit it, but to me, it's a fairytale. There's no real proof or evidence to support it. How do you know for a fact that there is no God? Do you have real proof or evidence to that effect?
Teenage troll? Hahaha, im not the one trying to put people to death. God's law is what it is. If it isn't P.C. enough for you, take it up with Him.
God will surely judge you for your hate towards other men. But to you, it's a fairy tale. Remember?
Heres some more questions. If you can answer these, I promise each and every one of you, my life will be aimed towards God.
How did God create everything? He spoke it into existence, using His Godly powers. Read Genesis chapter 1.
If he created man in the spitting image of himself, doesn't that make him a sinner too? No. Humanity made the lifestyle choice to sin.
Why would he create only one world? Why wouldn't there be others out there? Why wouldn't He, and why would there be?
If Jesus died for all of our sins, shouldn't we all get a free pass to heaven? Jesus died for the elect. 1 Peter 1:2: Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.
If heaven is in the clouds, how do rocket ships make it to space? Have you ever been aboard a rocket ship?
Why would God continue to let us live, even though we're destroying his world? Al Gore, is that you? We don't believe in all of that sick-ular nonsense about how we're destroying the world.
Why doesn't God prove he's real? Wouldn't everyone stop sinning and live their life for him? What would be the point of faith?
Why is there no real proof of God or the devil? What would be the point of faith?
The ancient Mayans and Aztecs believed in a different God. Does that mean every single person from back then went to hell? Yes.
