When I made the conscious choice to be a queer, it was the usual lifestyle of a fag. Narcotics and alcohol to fuel the daily circuit of trysts in bath houses, public toilets and parks. An insatiable carnal lust for the backsides of strange men, just like any homo. Theft to support the depravity, homelessness and despair.

At my lowest point, I was even soliciting straight friends when faced with a shortage of partners for anal sex. Something I will never forgive myself for, but it makes for compelling testimony when witnessing to young queers and what the future holds for them if they choose the mistake that I made.
