Hello again. I see you are having trouble with quoting. You can end a quote by writing [/quote] then write your reply and then start the next chunk of quoted text by writing [quote].


This is great and I wish I had that faith. I kinda lost mine after reading up about history and about all the atrocities committed in the name of Christianity.

That seems nice, but I'm afraid you will have to write your own Sacred Book that would depict Jesus as nice. Jesus of the Bible is not nice. He insults people, He is often rude, very xenophobic... extremely judgmental, too.

That is because they read and obey all of the Bible instead of just choosing a few nice sounding verses. Sounds tedious, I know!

I'm afraid that is one of the Biblical stories that first shook my faith - why would God place bets with the Devil on people's lives?... Sounds very cruel to me... Does that mean that during World War II God got really, really bored and was playing with the Devil again?... Why would He do that?... Does He not care about people at all?...

Or are you angry at yourself, that you are unable to believe the things that the Holy Bible wants you to believe? Or maybe you are angry at the preachers of other Christian denominations, who have been telling you that it is OK to disregard what the Bible says and just make up whatever you want to believe in?

Even putting the cruelties described in the Holy Bible aside, disregarding all of these genocides as creative writing, there is plenty of archaeological and historical evidence of people murdering each other and exploiting each other in the name of their religion.
