You're welcome, I know you understand this is for your benefit. A single slip and we might as well let in the massed hoards at the border and descend into savagery, like the lesser races. God Bless you for your diligence.

Atheists always have their heads in the clouds, Mr. Clark. They are by nature a flighty and fanciful group, not given to careful examination of their own thought processes.

Did you read what I said?

You said you "grew up Protestant". Being "good" has nothing to do with it. Salvation is, according to your former faith, based on solely faith and not good works.

As mentioned in Bible, the thread I linked to.. even your own former belief system. Last time I bolded it, that apparently wasn't good enough. So I've bolded it and enlarged it for you.

They emphasize justification by faith alone (sola fide) rather than by faith with good works; the teaching that salvation comes by divine grace or "unmerited favor" only, not as something merited (sola gratia); the priesthood of all believers; and either affirm the Bible as being the sole highest authority (sola scriptura "scripture alone") or primary authority (prima scriptura "scripture first") for Christian doctrine, rather than being on parity with outside sacred tradition.

I recommend reading the whole thread ASAP. You never know when you could pass on. You could not wake up after you go to sleep tonight, but essentially, the main point of it is Christianity is the only major religion that is faith based. You can be a serial killer, a rapist, and still get a first class ticket to the big man upstairs so long as you repent and believe in Jesus before your biological clock hits 0, but if you are the most noble and charitable person on Earth but happen to believe in the wrong God or none at all, tough, you're not making it into Christian Heaven. That "good person" stuff might fly with other religions but not Jesus.

I know how difficult it is for some unsaved people to read. That's okay! You can get the Bible in audio book format now. Feel blessed! Jesus visited Earth more than 2,000 years ago, but you have access to resources and opportunities to experience the Bible that those a mere 30 years ago didn't.

Yet again, something you have no biblical basis for. I'm trying to help you. These misunderstandings of yours are dangerous to you and could have you winding up in Hell. I don't want that to happen to you.

    Peter 2:21

21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

    Hebrews 10:26-29

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

    Luke 9:62

62 And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.

Yes, they have elements of traditional Roman religion.
From your description of yourself, it's still not clear whether you think Christianity IS traditional Roman religion or, alternatively, had its own independent origin?

Once we've established that Christianity, if accurate (even most of the other false denominations of it), only allow those who believe into Jesus into Heaven, I think we can skip straight to one of my favorite threads here, in showing that Christianity is the best bet of all major religions:

Fun is a deflated whoopee pillow under your mother-in-laws cushion. Then she queefs....
    Consider this:
You're riding your bike, all proud because your dad took off the training wheels. A Good Humor truck comes and runs over your gut, causing your body to burst and spray entrails all over the street.

    You're dead
Whether due to your own disgusting sinning or the Lords divine will, you are dead. Instantly your soul begins falling towards the black abyss above Hell. The falling seems eternal as you gather speed and the heat begins to grow. Then you notice a red dot below you growing larger by the second, this is the Lake in the center of Hell. It is the brightest point in Hell therefore it is visible for a great distance. Keep in mind that the farther you fall, the further from Christ you are.
As you gain speed and the flames become apparent you may wonder how you can stop this from happening. The answer is simple. It's too late and you can't, you're doomed. Your soul is damned and it WILL happen. The temperature is now approaching the unbearable limit as your flesh begins to smoulder and ignite and you continue to build speed as you plummet toward the now visible boiling Lake of Fire. You can almost make out individual souls thrashing in the magma with your flaming eyesockets. Soon you will join them, your terror mounts as your screams become gargled with the stench of Hells evil smell. The heat becomes excruciating as you notice your skin peeling away and your bones becoming visible and black. Flaming and screaming in anguish, you splashdown into the acidic brimstone of Satans Lake at around 250 MPH. You are instantly vaporized and reformed as a tormented soul writhing in absolute terror in the deafening depths of the Lake that Burns Eternal. The pain is beyond comprehension as you gnash your teeth so hard they shatter in your mouth. Satan periodically plucks you from the flames to savagely rape repeatedly and casually tosses you to his infernal minions to rip apart and rape at will, only to be reformed and have this scenario repeated...over and over and over, forever.
Is it still funny mocking our mission to Save© your soul? We want you to enjoy Heaven and eternal praise and worship at the feet of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unless you are Saved™ by Jesus Christ and His Holy website and favorite church, Landover Baptist, there is no other way to avoid this.

If the atheist is wrong, however, then he will pay for it by burning in Hell for eternity while the Christian receives eternal bliss in Heaven.

The situation can be summed up by the following chart, showing the payoffs of the two beliefs compared to the truth or falsehood of those beliefs.

Hello, RoccoJustAName, and welcome to the Landover Baptist Church. You haven't yet said why you are an atheist, so it's probably the usual excuse, you want to sin but not be punished for it.

The bad news is that, atheist or not, God will judge you for your sins, and you're currently on a path to eternal damnation in the lake of fire. The good news is that, if you'll let Him, Jesus will wash those sins away and let you spend an eternity with good people like us. As God's favorite church™, we're in a unique position to help you see the Truth that is contained in God's Word, the Holy Bible, if only you're willing to look for it.

It remains to be seen whether we will like you, and vice-versa. But Jesus told us to love our neighbor, and even to love our enemies, so we love you. Who knows, you might even find a spiritual home here with us. That has happened with atheists before.
