Yup, my guess is a lot of people didn't know about the quantity, they just heard about her and saw her putting on a pretty convincing teary face and thought she was innocent. Myself, I never thought so. She didn't have a 'help me I'm innocent!' look about her she had a 'oh NO how could I have been CAUGHT??' look about her. And I heard about the quantity as well. So yeah, I never thought she was innocent, though a few people thought that I was *so* mean thinking so.

Fortunately drug dealers/smugglers/users always get what's coming to them. Even if it's not via divine retribution.

Although to be fair, it might have been easier to let her serve a sentence in Aus rather than Bali.

Nan, if you're referring to Schappelle Corby, I'm pretty sure she was guilty. There is no way that anyone could not notice an extra 20 kilos to a body board.

Not only that, but people have said (who lived in her area) that she is a known small-time dope-dealer where she lives. Plus, on TV, an acquaintance of hers came forward and told the media that she was indeed smuggling, she usually had a certain customs official whom she bribed, who was not there at the time of her arrest.

I'd say that adds up to pretty darn guilty. Although 20 years is quite harsh.
