A witch is someone who practices witchcraft. The act of practicing witchcraft is rebellion against God; therein lies the sin, not in the successful casting of a spell.

Any of the literally hundreds of "Wiccans" and "pagans" in the country call themselves witches and try to cast "spells". Their pathetic failure to achieve any measurable result does not change the fact that they are practicing witchcraft, thus witches.

It's just a book. I've read them all. They are good books. Do I believe witchcraft is wrong and satanic? Of course I do, but its just a book. Nothing in it is real. The author isn't a witch, she just had a child that needed to be fed.

Yes, there are people out there that take the book too literally and end up actually believing they are witches. These people are lost and weak minded, but not necessarily bad people. It's OUR jobs as Christians to show them that they're not really witches, that witchcraft is wrong, and that they took the book too literally. But in reality, one could say that the people here that believe that the world is flat and the people they think they can do magic spells after reading Harry Potter are the same. They took it too literally. The bible can be translated in many different ways; I'm simply saying that believing the world is flat is a wrong way.
