I'm not 14, I'm 16.

This is pretty much the same response I get from my pastor and my youth group.

I know your answers come from the bible because we're taught not to ask questions, but can anybody give me a logical scientific explanation without citing the bible?

Would it be terribly wrong of me to ask for evidence?

Science, as everyone knows, is made almost entirely from 'theories'. A theory is nothing more than a guess and often made by a fast talker trying to bamboozle you with flash, glitz and chicanery. Facts are reality. So unless you want me to fib, I cannot use 'science'.

(No passages from the Bible here, OK?)
However, if God wants you sick/deformed/a family member or other significant person harmed, He will do it. If He feels they deserve to be healed, He will do that too. But God does not inflict serious injury on a whim. He saves cold and scratches, broken arms for that. It he rips off your legs and tears out your colon in a combine accident, you better believe He did it for a darned good reason. He would not bother going to that extreme only to heal you a month later. Pointless, don't you agree? Instead, he might shatter your knee and put you in the ward NEXT to the guy who had his legs ripped off and his colon in a bucket by his bed, just to show you what He COULD of done to you.
True story, when I was a child of 15, I lived a sinful life. God gave me appendicitis. I was bedded next to a man that had been attacked by a bear. His face was gone. For five days, I had to look at that horror. God taught me a valuable lesson that week.

What exactly is it that you want evidence of? Let us review your questions:

• Why do good people die?
• Why does God allow suffering?
• Can the Bible explain evolution?
• Can Evolution and God coexist?
• If God can create the Universe, why can't he fix amputated/severed appendages in animals?

What possible "evidence" that doesn't come from the Bible could answer any of these questions that are all directly about God and his doings. And why would you, as a Christian, want these philosophical and biblical questions answered without citing the Bible?

Since the Bible is the only source of knowledge we have about God, it is a fallacy to expect answers about Him elsewhere.

Good people don't die they rather go to heaven to live eternally with Jesus!

He doesn't only the devil do This is scripturally inaccurate. Unsaved Trash would do well do learn omre about the Bible before presuming to answer these theological questions before our pastors do.

Hi Holley, how old are you, 14? The world is a mysterious place and all sorts of things happen, many of which you do not need to know about.

But if you have a thirst for knowledge, I suggest you read a Good Book, one with fantastic stories. One with valuable lessons. One with near magical powers, This book is the KJV Bible.
God does everything for a reason. He kills mommies and daddies, he makes uncles act funny when they are alone in a room with you, He even burns down Churches, can you imagine that? All for a good reason. Some times, we know what the reasons are, like inappropriate touching, or hitting a sibling on the head with a hammer, perhaps playing with a can of accelerant and matches behind a Church. But even though you or someone else did these things, it was all at Gods direction. So when mommy gets drunk and crashes the car and you loose your legs, it is Gods way of reminding you what a bad mommie you have. If he fixed your legs, you'd forget all about your bad mommie once your daddy marries the lady from next door.

The reason for many of your questions (a common thread almost) is really questioning why God is not omni-benevolent. This has been answered before, so I won't repeat what has already been said, but this is something to consider when responding to your friend.

Hi all, I am new and I'm glad to be a part of this community.

I just had a few questions that my youth group couldn't help me with. I have an atheist friend that I grew up with. He is a smart guy, but I just don't think he believes anything in the bible. He has asked me a few questions that I, or anybody at my church, just can't logically answer. Also, I am just out of high school and biology was one of my favorite classes. But my mom and step dad always reminded me that it's not true, that we did not come from monkeys and that it's just a theory. But I don't live with him because my mom has full custody of my two brothers and I. But I still like to seem him every so often.
