Did you know that the the Bible teaches to instruct the ignorant? And I was a Christian for the majority of my life. I know the faith back and forth. My recent conversion to Atheism is mainly from the ignorance that religious people express with their narrow minded views.

Uh huh, now why don't you tell me exactly why the catlick church launched the Crusades?

Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that the Moslems had violently taken over all of modern-day Saudi Arabia, the Levant, Turkey, Egypt, North Africa, Spain and Portugal and were making inroads towards Constantinople and were making in-roads in France?

To say the catlicks started the Crusades would be to ignore the four-hundred years of history prior to it. It would be like saying the United States attacked a peace-loving and tolerant Japan in World War 2.

Nowhere in the Kuran does it say that... You must have looked up "quote from the Kuran" on google, and got that which was probably written by a very ignorant person

Not in any way, good sir. I do love it, however, that you attack the part of the faith that I didn't address. It was not the church that were the pedophiles, but it was a number of priests acting on their own behalf. I do not condone that in ANY way, but that is not enough to make me not defend the faith when it is being attacked. I would defend any faith the same way.

The "Holy Bible" was written by two groups of people you hate. Jews (not Joos, because that is just poor grammar, which you say is forbidden in your introduction email) and Catholics. Flatearth, and myself were raised those two faiths. Flatearth being raised a Jew and me a Catholic. Did you know that without Judaism, there would be no Roman Catholicism. And with no Catholicism, there would be no Protestant faiths. Therefor, you guys are different sects of Judaism. And as far as the crusades and the inquisition goes, all Protestant faiths were strong supports of the Holy Roman Empire at that time. Then, the Pope would have said "Jump!", and all of you would have said "How high?" on the way up. You also know nothing about the Catholic church if you have the nerve to say that they aren't Christians. As a matter of fact, they are the closest thing to original Christianity you can get. You all just hate them because they are accepting of Gays, Blacks, Jews, Hispanics, Asians, Indians, Middle Easterners, and every other ethnic group/minority. They recognize that every word in the Bible was not meant to be taken literally. But instead, most of it is stories to teach good morals and faith.

Do you know the first thing about Islam? They have never started a war with anyone. As a matter of fact, they have been known to be the religion of tolerance. When Christians were being persecuted in Rome, Islamic nations would provide safe places for them to stay. They would even let them practice their own faith in peace. And if you want to bring it onto modern times, the few radicals who are fighting in the name of Jihad are just extreme views of their religion. As my close friend, Alex, or as you know him, flatearth, said; "Right. So because some people HAPPEN to do violent things in the name of God, that does not mean that their religion supports that. If you actually read the Kuran, you would know it teaches nothing but peace. The core values of religion are never at fault, only the idiots who misinterpret." He couldn't have been more correct. Just because your sect of Christianity is largely filled with narrow minded, intolerant, racist idiots doesn't make your misguided interpretation any better than radical Jihadists.
