I would never complain about smudges (or rips, tears & missing buttons for that matter). I would clean (or repair/replace) them to the best of my ability. Failing that I believe the correct procedure would be to obtain an identical garment at my expense.smudge
Funnily enough I often find blouses (and shirts) with many (or all) of the buttons missing at a nearby layby! I repair & disinfect these and donate them to a charity shop in town. They say they are the cleanest clothes anyone donates! I do have quite a good stock of buttons now (from the ones with a few buttons left) and can usually match them up quite well.

Well, you are a typical female, meddling in things you have no need to wonder about, much like a smudge on a husbands shirt after a long night doing Church business.
Two posts you cannot see were private communications where he was complaining about being reprimanded for being nosy regarding things that were none of his business.

Perhaps one of the gentlemen could help me out? I read threads which I might post in (a novel concept
for many visitors here it seems!) so of course had a look at what Mr. Homey said and noticed there were 11 posts to read (at time of posting this).

I clicked find all posts by God is my Homey and they are all in this thread, but there are only 9.

Have I gone mad

We stand the line, night after night, doing our job so you can sleep in a bed with sheets, holding your teddy bear. Do not give me crap about pride. Matthew 10:25 The King James (Authorized Version) Bible is given to us by God. Now, God did not inspire someone else the next day with another different message, according to the "taste" of some heretic.
There isn't any Habakkuk v2·01 for people who didn't find the initial release v1·0 to their liking!

JEREMIAH 1
1 The wordes of Ieremiah the sonne of Hilkiah, of the Priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Beniamin:
2 To whom the word of the Lord came in the dayes of Iosiah the sonne of Amon king of Iudah, in the thirteenth yeere of his reigne.
3 It came also in the dayes of Iehoiakim the sonne of Iosiah king of Iudah, vnto the ende of the eleuenth yeere of Zedekiah the sonne of Iosiah king of Iudah, vnto the carrying away of Ierusalem captiue in the fift moneth.
4 Then the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
5 Before I formed thee in the bellie, I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the wombe, I sanctified thee, and I ordeined thee a Prophet vnto the nations.
6 Then said I, Ah Lord God, behold, I cannot speake, for I am a childe.
7 But the Lord sayd vnto me, Say not, I am a childe: for thou shalt goe to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoeuer I command thee, thou shalt speake.
Well, surprise! surprise! some people weren't going to like what God said and start screwing up their faces in distaste. What do you think the next verse says?
A — But if that which be commanded thee is not to the taste of the people to whom I send thee, a different message will be given, one that they might like a bit better.
OR
B — Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliuer thee, sayth the Lord.
When people start saying that God made mistakes in His inspiration of prophets and translators, or erred in sending His Son to be spat upon, tormented with a crown of thorns, gouged with that spear and nailed up to die their words have the hallmarks of their true master. Did you click on Matthew 10:25? It is talking about people like that, who support their repugnant position with toxic false scripture inspired by Beelzebub.
Matthew 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the seruant as his Lord: If they haue called the Master of the house of Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
©1611
When I read quotes from the demonic NIV - in posts like yours, for example - I know that the poster is well in with Beelzebub,
one of his household.
That one or other of Satan's corrupted false "bibles" might be preferred as a matter "of taste" is typical of the way God's Truth is distorted by demons. They additionally seem to have prevented you reading Matthew 7:2.. 3.. 4.. 5..
____________________
The sermon you were referred to will explain how ridiculous you are in thinking that Matthew 5 is rendered just as well in the NIV — or any other perverted "rendition" of God's word where His "mistakes" have been "corrected' [ACCORDING TO TASTE] — as in the KJV. I have just read several, but will stick with the 1984 NIV. The most immediately apparent demonic influence in Matthew 5:43 is here:
KJV: Yee haue heard, that it hath beene said, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour, and hate thine enemie:
NIV: "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'
WHERE IS THE "THOU SHALT"? answer: Satan has removed it - no suggestion of command just a pathetic "it was said.." and of course we know that Satan wants us to think that God is pathetic: so pathetic that He can't even inspire His translators correctly!
The words in the KJV agree 100% with the words in Matthew: same inspiration: God.
The NIV is different - and in a very fundamental way: different inspiration: not God.
You have ignored all the bits about amputation, digging out of eyes, continuation of THE WHOLE law
Matthew 5:17 Matthew 5:18 Matthew 5:19 Matthew 5:29 Matthew 5:30 (they're probably not to your taste)
Maybe you prefer:
MATTHEW 22:39 And the second is like vnto it, Thou shalt loue thy neighbour as thy selfe.
©1611
THIS IS HOW JESUS TELLS US TO TREAT OURSELVES:
MATTHEW 5:29-30
29 And if thy right eie offend thee, plucke it out, and cast it from thee. For it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee. For it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Hebrews 12:5-8

For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Re: I joined this place... I guess.
Now here's an interesting point. Is the KJV Bible the one true Bible? After all, surely the Ancient Greek and Hebrew scripts would give us a clearer interpretation as those of course would have been the ones read by the very first Christians.Originally posted by James Hutchins View PostEveryone knows the KJV is the one True Bible.
And of course there's the fact that King James was not exactly the most morally sound person in all of Christiandom and the politics around it were all a little messy
