Indeed Brother Ezekiel. Besides being boring, studying genealogy is scripturally evil. (It is even worse having to read about his family.)
Titus 3:9 -- But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
So too is his interest in astrology.
Isaiah 47:13-14 -- Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee. Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it.

Friend, your bias is shining through here... you are one of these "round earthers" aren't you?

I don't believe you are an engineer. No engineer would be stupid enough to say that. How would you know, merely by travelling, that the earth was not flat? It looks pretty flat from here and it looks pretty flat from Des Moines. You are accepting the word of others on blind faith that is reserved for God alone.

However, if you want to warble on about your delusions, there are a couple of other threads where you will be taught the correct view. DO NOT post about a Flat Earth here.

So we should just take your word for it and ignore the Holy Bible, huh?

    I don't think so.

My role in this matter seemed simple: explain some simple matters about science and technology: subject closed.....

    ...Or perhaps not...

When I first became aware of the claims of the "Apollo conspiracy", I was deeply concerned. I was ready to counter claims about the Apollo Eleven mission, the "J Class" missions of Apollo 15, 16 and 17, as well as claims about the exploration of space.

Claims about the world being flat completely blew me out of the water.

I want to start this thread by addressing some matters that are very dear to my heart. For those who don't want to engage with me in full I will summarise my for you as best as God's Holy Spirit Allows.

Note that despite the angry opinions I have seen expressed by faithfull and faithless alike, I have not retreated from these forums. I wish to speak openly about my heartfelf feelings God, not because I have something to prove, but because I have something to learn.

When I was first directed to these forums by a dear friend of mine, I was expecting a fight. A friend of mine was deeply interested in the questions of God and his creation, and was dumbfounded by some of the answers he was getting. His objective was not to disprove the existence of God, he was confused.

My friend was a work colleague of mine and was distressed at the apparent disparity between the universe he knew and the universe explained by Christianity.

He didn't want someone to help him disprove the existance of God, Physics, Space Travel, God, or anything else.

I now wish to turn my attention to a matter that is very dear to my heart: the Apollo Program.

Before I begin, let me reestablish why I do not view myself as a God hating atheist:-

I was raised as a scientist and engineer by many god-fearing members of my extended family. I have absolutely no intention of trying to disprove the existance of God. When I was ten years old, I was converted at a Billy Graham rally, relayed to my chursh by satellite. I was overcome by the Holy Spirit, I was completely overwhelmed.

When I had accepted Christ, I was taken aside and shown the
gospel of Saint Luke. As you may be aware, Saint Luke was a doctor, and was the first scientist to accept Christ. As a scientist and engineer I have never ever used science as an excuse to disbelieve what was taught to me by my Christian Brothers and sisters, my extended family, or anyone else who refused to accept the truth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please understand why I have been directed to avoid racism and bigotry by the Holy Spirit.

I apologise I I presented myself as an arrogant "know it all" who presumes to know all of the mysteries set forth by God. I apologise if I came across as such.

When I was made aware of this site, I was asked for help by a friend who was distressed by the discredit of so called "bible bashers", based on statements made by this site. I was concerned at some of the accusatons that he made against the Christian Church, (he is a very clever man) and agreed to look into the matter on his behalf.

Make no mistaske, a vast number of non-christians are genuinely and innocently curious about the way Christians interpret the wider universe. There are many frustrations about the emergence of suicide bombers and other evil men. It is widely inderstood that Christian men such as Dr Martin Luther King Junior understood the future of humanity and were ultimately aware of what would have happened to humanity had they failed.

    1. Understand this...I am not a God hater.

I have been drawn to these formums for a specific reason: God wants me to learn from you. I have seen a lot of opinions expressed on these forums that clash with my own experiences.

    Understand this...

I am not here to hate you. Feel free to hate me for what God has shown me during my time with him. The time I have spent with God has been an incredible learning experience. I will gladly speak with you all about what I have been shown. Many of my experiences have been deeply humbling and I have a deep desire to share the experiences I have gained through the spirit.

So, what was my mother doing during my early life?

Much of what I know about the behaviour of women stems from my early life. Although my maternal grandfather was a strong man, there was no question in the immediate following generation that women were going to have their say.

Men earned the money in the world of work, women raided the children. The problem was, that infant mortality rates were far lower than they had been in the past. With the drastic drop in infant mortality rates, women no longer had to expend their entire lives raising children in the hpe that a precious few would survive to adulthood.

A question was asked: "didn't your mother stay home to nurture you?" Indeed she did. I was my parents' first bourne. However, much of the womens' movement in the UK during WW1 and WW2 dictated that women must expend their expetise to build war weapons to ensure their children would have a future. The idea that women must work in Europe stems directly from WW2. Women worked hard to build tanks amd planes and guns to ensure that "Christian Civilisation" prevailed.

Discusion of the Christianised and militarised soldiers from whom I am directly descended are not of direct relevance to these forums. These men and women fought in World War Two did what they thought was right. Whenever a woman goes to work in the UK in the hope of making a better life for her descendants, she is not a God hater. She is following in the footsteps of the women who sent their children away as evacuees, while they faced certain death in the face of Nazi bombing campaigns.

A question was asked about whether my mother stayed home to nurture me. This is a relevant question that deserves an answer in full.

My maternal grandfather was working as an electrical engineer in Switzerland during the 1930s. My grandfather was an outspoken pacifist and remained as such throughout the second world war and the conflicts that came after it, well into the twenty first century.

When war came to Europe, my maternal grandfather found himself encircled within a neutral country (Switzerland), unable to return home. War was abhorrant to him, but there was nothing he could do to return to his homeland or prevent what was happening in Europe. He was deeply distressed by the events of world war two.

He remained in Switzerland and eventually returned to the United Kingdom to marry his sweetheart, Dorothy. As a result, the eldest of his daughters (Elizabeth) was born alongside the many post-war "baby boomers" of the late 1940s. He was later very pleased to learn that the first born son of one of his daughters had accepted Christ as his saviour, although he was unhappy to learn that his favourite grandson was an enlisted man.

THere was a question about my father being a church organist. I assume that the comment about use of profane language was meant as a joke. However, having spens some time reading these forrums I intend to leave nothing to chance.

My father has always been musically gifted. Unfortunately, he as afflicted by the measels as a child, resulting in permanent damage to his hearing.

He persevered. He studied music at Durham University, he went on to have numerous symphonies published. He spent his entire working life as a civil servant, giving his services as a musician freely for many charity events. He was eventually given the MBE by Queen Elizabeth II (the proudest moment of his life, which I was overjoyed to witness in person) for his charity work with the Archbishop of Canterbury. Sinnce retiring, he still plays for the archbishop regularly.
