I know because of logic. I don't blindly follow a book written after my Lord died without his guidance. Evil people could have made up things and put them in their. So NO you don't know because of the bible. You think because of the bible. Thinking is good though, as long as you keep an open mind

Please out line the criteria you use to decide which bits of the Bible are factual and which bits you can ignore.

Please be aware that 'it feels right' is an emotional reaction (rather than a logical one) and is out of bounds in this discussion.

The bible should just be used for its messages of being kind to others. That is all I take form it. Not things preaching hate which will not benefit society. In a modern world you need to be accepting and kind and not cause wars because you don't like their religion. The bible is not a logical book. For example. The earth was not directly created by god. It took milllions of years of reactions to create. Adam and Eve wrong cuz incest. see my point

How can you say that the bible is entirely true when half of it can be proved wrong through historical context and science. The bible is not an all knowing magical book. We can only find what is right when we look in our hearts.

So then it should be even easier for you to give me historical and scientifical proof that Jesus did not say those things. Go on. So far we only have Jesus' words about it. It was not even only time when He spoke like that.

John 3:10-18

That is still Jesus. Burden of proof is on you. Prove it that those are not something that Jesus did not say. If you can't prove it, your logic says that then Jesus has said them.

I can't prove he didn't say it and you can't prove he did(No the bible isn't proof). It all comes down to what we believe in .
