    Hello There

Hello there, everyone. You can call me Faithfully. I joined this forum simply to worship God.

    "Favorite piece of scripture?"

    Psalm 23
    King James Version

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

    "What church?"

I go to a local Baptist church in my town.

"How did you come to know Jesus?"

I was always raised in a Christian household...for many years though, I simply "talked the talk" and didn't "walk the walk". After being introduced to my youth group, and a man who helped me in my walk with Christ I became a much more active Christian. I go on mission trips now and I often help around my local community, both sharing the word of Christ and doing actual physical labor to help the community (while at the same time telling them about the Gospel).

So yeah, glad to be here.

Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for correctly following the idiot-proof instructions at the top of the page!

(You have no idea how not-idiot-proof they really are.)

What sorts of things do you like to tell people about Jesus?

I usually like to lead with the "happy loving and forgiveness" in John 3:16. It softens them up for the "all non-Christians will go to Hell, simply because they aren't Christians" in John 3:18.

(A neat feature of this site, just hover your mouse over the links and it will popup the text. You can do the same, just type it normally. As long as you cite it correctly and spell the book name right, it will give you the link. )

Praise JESUS, and welcome to Landover Baptist!

So many young people simply "talk the talk," but do not "walk the walk."

It always brightens my day when I meet an enthusiastic young Christian such as yourself who is on FIRE for GOD and is willing to do anything, even butcher heathen babies and stone queers to death for JESUS!

Now Brother, remember, Romney-Ryan and the Republican Senate haven't been elected yet. We can't do those things here, just in Uganda.

And I, for one, am not about to go to Uganda. They have no air conditioning.

Hm, that is a neat feature.

Well, I like to cover both sides of the story. People need to know about the consequences if we don't believe, and at the same time they need to know about the hope Jesus gives us.

Too many people like to put the Bible in a nice little family friendly package, which isn't right. The truth is what needs to be known, we have a powerful God who we need to fear and worship, otherwise we spend eternity in hell.

No, not at all. If God wanted us to read and follow only the politically correct, feel-good parts of Scripture, He would have given us only those parts. This church unapologetically proclaims the entire Word of God, even the parts that liberal false Christians want to "interpret" away.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
