We've already covered that. And that's not what 1 John 1:9 says. It says:

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Now please answer my question instead of going off on a tangent: When did Professor Gossamer say he would not forgive your trespasses against him?

I see you also have reading comprehension issues.

1 John 4:20 says "hateth his BROTHER" not "others". Who is my brother? My brother in Christ. Or maybe my biological brother. But it's not "everybody".

If he had meant "everybody", he'd have said "everybody".

1 John 1:19 says "if we say that we HAVE NOT sinned". I've never said that I have not sinned. I, like every True Christian™, became Saved by the Truth about the Bible and Jesus and am no longer able to sin.

Doesn't mean I never did in the past.

And Paul then goes on to say that once we live by faith, we are absolved of our sins.

, 24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. 26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

How do you explain this if we are all guilty of total depravity?

1 John 3:5-9 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Nobody is born without sin. However, True Christians™ are washed clean of sin and cannot sin any longer.

    1 John 3:8-9

8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You really are some kind of a retard, aren't you?

He's not defending us. He is pointing a confused person to the Truth of the Bible. FACTS, instead of misunderstandings and misinformation.

Didymus thinks that if people understand what the Bible really says, they will decide to become God-mocking atheists like him.
