I must say I admire your loverly passage! Just knowing that through Jesus I am saved and will not be reborn from unknowing death into an immortal body to be cast into the firery pit of Hell for all eternity (like those dirty sinners) give me a warm feeling inside, too.

I like John 3:18 even more, because it makes it explicit that anyone who is not a True Christian(tm) is damned (no matter how 'nice' they are)!

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Just not believing, even if you somehow manage never to otherwise sin, earns you a one-way ticket to God's Lake of Fire!

So which is it; are you a Baptist or are you a protestant?

Let's look at that Bible verse in the real Bible, i.e., the King James Bible:

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

"Only begotten" and "one and only" do not mean the same thing, as this passage from the same Gospel makes clear:

John 1:12-13: But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

By the way, have you ever been to the Netherlands? I hear it's lovely at this time of year.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

Questions to ask liberal "Christians"Things that the Bible doesn't sayTolerance
