Add these two verses together:

2 Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:"

Deuteronomy 4:2 "Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you."

Real Christianity is not religion it's a lifestyle. Real Christians have a relationship with god as a father would with his children it's the same thing.

Oh, so you are not a Christian just a fluffy bunny smiley face. That is very different. See Damien, I love God. I know He placed us here on His Earth by His Divine Will©. He gave us choices, clearly written in the the Bible (His Holy Book).
To real Christians, God is not a father that buys you GI Joe's with the Real Action Grip™. God is a leader that loves us as a General loves His troops. We are all expendable to accomplish His Mission. I am sorry to know you do not have religion in your life. It must be very shallow.

James what do u think when god says, "love thy neighbor." What does that mean to you? Who could he be talking about?

Damien, to people that read the Bible, that is a very small part of "Law and the Prophets". God has His disciples talk about this in many passages in the KJV Bible but you probably did not know this because you skip most of His Word, focusing instead on the parts about ice cream.
Did you ever read this before Damien? I am sure a smart guy like you is familiar with it:
Romans 15:2
Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

If that's what God wants us to do, then why does He take every opportunity to say the opposite? The Bible by itself contains enough teaching for salvation:

Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

2 Timothy 3:14-15: But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned [them]; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

As for following our own common sense, here is what God says:

Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Besides, as I'm sure you've noticed, people who rely on "common sense" to determine God's will end up believing in multiple, mutually exclusive things, which by definition cannot all be right. Why would God want us to rely on something with such a poor track record? If we had to do so, we'd have to guess at which brand of "common sense" is right and thus guess at what is required to avoid hell. What sort of loving God would make us do that?

Damien, I am still waiting for your explanation about how man and pick and choose the parts of the Bible we must follow and what parts we can ignore (God was 'just kidding').
See friend, I follow all of the Bible. I do not feel any mortal man can possibly know better than God. Further, Being God is always there and has unlimited ability, I am sure He would of had notes (or simply had removed) the parts He did not want us to follow. He has not done so (unless I am missing something, so please, open my eyes to your exquisite vision of Truth(r)).
I am sure He will be very upset if you are fibbing. You are not simply making this all up, are you?
