    Re: Introducing the curious one

First: I'm sorry if my answers take a while, but I will try my best to answer all posts and questions as quick as I can. English is not my first language and I want to think my answers through grammar wise

I have not defined any further what branch I belong to yet. Much of the wiccan teachings have appealed to me, but witchcraft and magic is not in my interests.

About the Eskimo topic: I do understand that one cannot remember the names of all countries and I will not take offense of being called so thanks to your explanation. At least it is now made clear.

In Finland we are usually lutherans and I wished to be married in a lutheran church. Mostly because the ceremony in itself is beautiful and reminds me of my home and family. I am not aware of there being a LBC (that is the correct abbreviation, isn't it?) church in Finland.

I'm glad to hear that (on both counts)

So racism was not the case and you might accept more easily if any of the brothers or sisters choose to call you eskimo. It is a term of endearment and a way to help on the difficult task of remembering the general location from which you hail. (you surely understand that most will not have the time or patience to know every little GOD forsaken country in this world).

As for the "pagan" you still failed to specify the general beliefs that it entails in your case, and most important (and hopeful) the parts that make you disagree with that paganism.

    Do calm down.

She is young, she saw that there were errors in her church, she has come looking for TRUE CHRISTIANS.

Let us not jump to any conclusions, JESUS may have chosen to grace the young finished girl.

    Dear Hanna

It seems that meanwhile you have chosen to address the subject of your (absence) of belief.

I say that because you state that you are a pagan (without pointing out which version) and then stating you will marry as a christian.

So the blunt and honest point of view it is.

Furthermore you forget to mention (not that it matters for your salvation, but it matters for pointing the differences) if you are orthodox or lutheran.

Please answer so we might best serve JESUS in providing you with a clear and objective explanation that might lead you to HIM.

If you consider yourself to be a pagan (whatever that means), then why would you want to marry in a church?

I am assuming that this would be some Scandinave sort of church, not a True Christian™ church. What is your country's "traditional Christian" way?

Proverbs 15:1 is a lovely choice of verse, though, and one that I always try to follow. I think there is real hope for you. But of course, I am blessed with a cheerful and optimistic nature!

    Greetings

You state that you are not an eskimo with such haste that I fear that you might harbor some unchristian racist beliefs. I remember being told that in finland they weren't considered people until the mid 90's.

As for the differences in our beliefs, I might propose two alternatives, one being your reading the full-uncut KJV 1611, the other being a simple presentation of your beliefs.

Should you prefer the latter you can expect our most blunt and honest presentation of the values we praise in this GODly forum.

Hello dear, why on earth would you want to be a pagan?

Does this have anything to do with that horrible "What Does The Fox Say" video?

Hello Hanna, and a cautious welcome. You may be on your way to as things stand, but in joining this Godly forum you have taken the first important step towards Salvation. Well done!

I am genuinely interested in learning about your religion and why our beliefs differ.
Well, that is nice dear, but we can't even begin to help you without more information. You say that your beliefs differ from ours, but you do not say what your beliefs are. You will see at the top of this page we ask you:

Tell us what church you go to and what your favorite Bible verse is and how you came to find Jesus.
    Yours in
    Attila's Wife

God's honest truth is this, young lady: The fires of perdition are everlasting. You think Hell is far in the future, so far it almost isn't real, but it awaits. You know it in your heart.

It is God who has brought you here, but you have the free will to accept Him or not. Heaven or Hell; it's your choice. You are very flippant about it, being very young, but you would do well to remember that life is short and shorter for some than for others.

After this short life comes the rest of eternity. You can go to Heaven forever and have picnic lunches with God and Jesus every day, or you can go to Hell. For me, it's an easy choice. God gives you the same choice. You seem resigned to Hell. Don't go there, it's too hot.
