  • How do I go about converting from an Atheist to creationist

I'm an atheist, but I began talking to god and I want to convert and worship him. I need help from the greatest Christian forum there is on the internet I could to answer my questions.

My parents are cold hearted atheists and do drugs. they practice voodoo or something, and get abortions whenever my mom is pregnant. and I am beginning to think it is wrong and unholy. I don't want to be a sinner anymore and I want to believe in Jesus Christ and follow the commandments.

Where do I start? What do I read? And why should I become a Christian rather than a Muslim? Please help, I'm lost and eager to change! Thank you!

First of all you need to read the Bible(KJV1611).

Cover to cover, don't skip bits.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

Revelation 22:15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Well dear, firstly welcome to our friendly forums! Secondly, you should understand creationism isn't a religion or belief to which one converts. It is a sound, truthful explanation of the biodiversity we see on our planet Earth. What you're asking about is how to have a relationship with Christ!

You see, the Bible tells us that we have all sinned; we have all committed evil acts (Romans 3:10-18). Because God is perfect and the ultimate in Goodness (Psalm 100:5; Psalm 106:1; Psalm 107:1; Psalm 135:3; 1 Chronicles 16:34; ), he is disgusted and enraged at our sinfulness. Essentially, He can’t stand us, and because He is God, He doesn’t have to because no one can make Him. He has decided that we deserve nothing less than eternal torture, and pain, and agony for having made a perfect God uncomfortable with the way we are not similarly perfect. The only appropriate punishment for sins committed against an infinite and eternal God is an infinite and eternal punishment (Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:11-15). This is why God created Hell. It’s only fair after all. That's how we relate to Him from the very beginning.

But here's the Good News - Jesus Christ came to earth and died in our place! He didn’t have to do so, but He chose to do so. Jesus and God worked out The Ultimate Plan (2 Corinthians 5:21) because they’re pretty tight, being the Same Person (John 10:30), yet Different Persons (John 17:1). This plan was decided some time before we were ever born. It doesn’t really matter, since we probably wouldn’t have been consulted anyway, but They/He decided that Jesus would die temporarily to pay the penalty for our sins (Romans 5:8) so that God could forget all about them (Isaiah 65:17; Isaiah 43:25). Jesus paid the penalty He determined He (as God) required just so that we would not have to. Wasn’t that sweet?!? Now we can relate to God through Christ without making Him want to violently and aggressively vomit!

I would suggest you start reading the Holy Bible, all of it. We know that "faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). So to be safe, perhaps you should read the Holy Bible out loud so you can also hear it. Then you will have faith because God said so!

In the meantime, if you're ready, you can pray a Sinner's Prayer. I'd be honored to pray it with you, if you'd like.

      Dear LORD,

I acknowledge that you, Jesus, are the Son of God. I believe that you were born of the Virgin Mary in a miraculous way (impregnating her with the Holy Spirit, which is You, without her knowledge or consent, or even the benefit of physical sperm, but by the very will of God, who is, amazingly, also You). I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I believe you were resurrected, floated up into the air, through the atmosphere, and straight to Heaven. I know that your divine nature means you were impervious to the physical effects of the lack of oxygen in space, that your divine body saved you from any danger of your blood boiling, your eyeballs exploding, or your lungs turning into red slush.

I admit that I was born a sinner by your design, and there is nothing I could have done to prevent it. I know I have led a life of sinning by not obeying your every command. It tears me up inside. My guilt is overwhelming.

      Please forgive me.

Please change my heart so I can be a willing slave and do whatever you want me to do.

Please change my heart to want to read the Holy Bible and agree with all of it.

      Be my Savior.

      By my LORD and Master.

I beg you, save me from the very Hell you created for me in the beginning of time in case I didn't fear and obey you.

      In Jesus' Name I pray.
Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.
