Kyle, So you attend the Dutch Reformed Church in SA. Have you considered changing to the Baptist Church? Although it may be that the Baptists Churches there are full of negros, in which case I sympathise. If that's so, you need to supplement your religious needs by being a member on here. Only then, will you fully accept Jesus into your life. Here, we take every Word of God in the Bible as Truth. We don't just take the nice bits and ignore the nasty bits like all those false churches. We take it all. If you really believe in God, you will want that too.

Where do you live in SA? I visited there 37 years ago - a beautiful country. I didn't get to the Cape Province as I was a student and we were hitch-hiking on limited funds. I visited Joburg, Durban, Transkei, Drakensburgs etc.

Agree... translating the Bible is a nasty setup...lotta politic and issues involved (Aaaaaah, I remember how we had a problem with 'good news bible'... but doesn't God want his word heard by everyone? must one be able to speak English (american) to be saved? We've got a society in SA where we strive to conquer the language barrier so that the good news may be heard by all.

This thread shows what happens when people translate the Bible from God's language: English!

Hehe. quesidilla. Please people! I beg you! So far I only had to defend myself, and what I believe... my messages might sound impersonal, apologies, but that is how I'm used to facing someone. You call it by its name! Attilla, don't know why, but I like you!

And just how did He do that? Did He go around saying, "I love everyone, no matter how badly they offend Me by sinning"? No, He "called them out" (to use the vernacular), even calling people rude names when they wouldn't listen.

    ...concious...
The word you wanted is "conscience".

...sorry Jesus, we chose not to save someone today... but to condemn them further...
Your putting the effort into being saved or not is YOUR choice. They're just showing you what the Bible really says about your behaviour.

...I know I don't qoute verses, but I know when im doing the right thing...
How do you know it's right, if you don't check the Bible?

Friend, in Appalachia, it is a way two close friends say 'you too'. Don't worry, I will back off. I thought you were a like minded Christian.

We do not use english here, we use American.

If you feel compelled to swear like a sudanese cabin boy, I'll ask you go elsewhere.

You must try to be like Jesus. If you are a Christian, your life must be modeled after His. Of course, you will pale in comparison and most likely feel like an abject failure. That is what God expects.

O.K. Apologies again, I like my ellipses. I am used to conveying a point face to face. Got a few warnings already. Maybe fellowship was meant as a inter-personal thing and not something one can do on a, uhm, 'cyber-church', call me old fashioned. Typing a message may seem impersonal...

Did I mis-communicate? So often that happens in this fast paced world where people do not take the time to sit down face to face and share their close and meaningful relationship with our Lord and Savior.

Tell me Kyle, when you are kneeling before Jesus and He offers Himself to you, do you take His Gift?
