If you're so keen on having Christmas about Jesus' birth only, then
celebrate it on another day. Christmas day is not the actual day of
his birth, so why would you care if that day gets 'soiled by society'.

This story is the Wal-Mart version of history . . . those wise men were trying to kill our Sweet Baby Jesus and if HE hadn't been well armed, they would have done it. When baby Jesus was born, didn't the wise men bring gifts to the manger? I thought that was the reason for bringing gifts on xmas.

That's about right friend. The good people here at Landover have been (as usual) sensitive to your feelings and have been trying to get you to see there's something wrong.

The truth of the matter is they are trying to replace Baby Jesus with a fat sodomite / child diddler named Santa. Take a look at the Santa story and you'll see what I mean.

Lives up north all year round with cute little male elves all dressed up in funny hats and green leotards; wants children to sit on his lap, sneaks into children's homes when the parents are asleep.

Children are learning to be good because Santa won't bring them any toys; not because Jesus will kick their ass. It's turned everything upside down. Christmas has become about garnering the respect of a chubby queer in black leather boots who obsesses about children. It's disgusting.

I'm no Christian but even I know that Christmas has been horribly contorted. It's supposed to be a holiday in celebration of Jesus's birth HOWEVER the only thing that is mentioned when Christmas is brought up is presents and gifts.

There's no more religion to Christmas anymore, just substance which is mostly because of Americanization.

I saw the thread about war on Christmass. Whats wrong with it? Isnt it the birthday of Jesus. Im sorry Im new to Christianity. Currently looking for a church that would care for me and the other way around. So Im just wondering what is the bad part of Christmass?

I only wish everyone was so (naively) innocent about Christmas. But there is a war going on. Our secular society is trying to replace Jesus with Frosty the snowman and Christmas with a shopping spree. Our Lord Jesus Christ wants folks to celebrate HIS birth by attending HIS favorite church (LBC of course). But Jesus weeps when we go to Target and purchase plastic Satan Claws lawn ornaments from a homosexual clerk with our satanic plastic money cards! If you must purchase a Christmas present, make it a KJV 1611 Bible and while you're at it, thank Sweet Baby Jesus for not killing you today.
