Re: I would like to share about CDD
Greetings Mrs Etheldreda
First of all please accept my apology because I think I've been spelling your name wrong all this time.
Secondly I definitely see where you are coming from. You do not want to
question your husband's authority or decision making, as it should be
(unless of course you want clarity on something)
My wife is pretty much the same way. She does not question my authority
or decision making either. She knows if she does it she'll get a pink bottom.
I've never given her broken ribs or anything like that. I would not be able to bring myself to do it.
And as I mentioned before, if she went to the hospital and too many questions were asked I would probably be a guest at a municipal facility around here. And I don't think it would be a very good place for a middle aged blue eyed caucasion.
Thanks for listening
Ray

Re: I would like to share about CDD
Quite. Why, if Mr. Etheldreda took the time to convince me to agree with everything he deemed important, I'd think I had married a girlfriend not a man.Originally posted by Alvin Moss View PostMarriage is generally consensual and part of marriage is discipline delivered by the husband. As such, all consensually married people consent to discipline.
The moment I said "I Do," I meant it. Always. No need to ask again and again. I know I can trust my husband because I can trust my LORD. The way I think of it, and I think the Holy Bible will back me up here, if my husband makes no sense to my fallible mind, and if I don't agree three broken ribs, or a split lip, or a torn cartilage in my wrist is a fine price to pay for Salvation, nevertheless my loyalty is still required. Just like I don't take the time to explain to the toddler why I'm duct taping him to the high chair out of reach of food because he refuses to cease throwing it on the floor, and if he cannot grasp the concept of waiting patiently, he'll damn well grasp the concept that he doesn't have a choice in the matter and will eventually learn to obey if he knows what's good for him and doesn't want to spend the next month duck taped in the corner of the kitchen to help drive home the lesson, but I don't care, I'll do it, I will not be ignored in my own kitchen damn it, Mr. Etheldreda is in control, as the Good Lord desires. And that's good enough for me. A lesbian, I am not. I like my husband on the manly side, thank you.

Just think about what an opportunity that would be, to witness to them about your Lord and Masterâ„¢, Jesus Christ.Originally posted by Raybird View Post...I'm also sure if I got captured by them (or any other american hater over there) it would definitely not be like a trip to the Sandals Beaches...
And if they did kill you (in an extremely gruesome manner), you get to meet
that much sooner.
So are we going to get Mrs. Ray's side of things, or can't you type with your left hand yet?Originally posted by Raybird View Post...I was taught a long time ago there are two sides to every story...

Alvin
Thank you for your advice. It makes a lot of sense.
I don't think I'll ever have to worry about my wife not consenting to a spanking. She never has since we started CDD.
But if I remember correctly, CDD does not even recommend you start unless both parties are in agreement to go all the way. It's not my rule.
It's theirs.
Take care
Ray

I totally agree. I was taught a long time ago there are two sides to every

Your comment is essentially true, in the fullest sense of the words. However, I believe you have missed the meaning. Marriage is generally consensual and part of marriage is discipline delivered by the husband. As such, all consensually married people consent to discipline. There are women who are not happy with their father's choice of a husband and they may object to the occasional slap.
Christian Domestic Discipline is part of God's plan and is thus part of any marriage, whether one partner objects or not. A wife will occasionally require a light beating. This is true whether they consent or not. A weak husband may try to assuage his wife's feelings by not beating her when required, but that marriage will likely fail. The wife may then turn to a Negroe for proper discipline or even become a homosexual lesbian. Those choices are far more destructive than receiving a well merited beating.
When the husband fails to provide structure and discipline, the Devil can be expected to become a third party to the marriage. Thus, your failure as a husband can be expected to destroy your marriage. Your case is complicated. I believe that one on one counseling would help. Pastor Zeke would probably agree to help you. Are you in funds?

Joanna
Thanks for the advice but I believe ISIS is still over there and there is a certain part of my anatomy I don't want to get shot off.
I'm also sure if I got captured by them (or any other american hater over there) it would definitely not be like a trip to the Sandals Beaches.
Thanks for listening

Boy I just can't win. I was just trying to be funny. Put a little light heartedness in the situation.
I have nothing to do with the French. I just got the idea from the very cool movie. Telly Savalas is brilliant as the insane commander. I highly recommend "Beau Geste" to anyone.

Re: I would like to share about CDD
Ms Thinks Design,
You have a totally incorrect picture about me.
CDD is a consensual thing. When I approached my wife about it some years ago, if she had not agreed to it we would have never pursued it.
It seems there are a lot of people on this website who do not agree with the way it is done, but none the less it was a big help to our marriage.
I never bruise her or strike her any where but on her bottom. And I never will.
Thanks for listening

Does this mean you have truck with the French? They are godless savages who drink wine to excess and smoke more cigarettes than even Mexicans.

At any rate, it is in my nature to take up for myself. That is how I was raised. I do respect everyone here for their rank. However, if you read what Joanna orignally said to me, I don't think anybody would say it is advice. I think what really got my dander up is when she said something about my wife.

Ray,
Mrs. Etheldreda spoke to you with utmost respect. She is a very busy woman, and you should feel respected that she takes time to lovingly correct you; when I say something false and she helps guide me, I thank God for her! You would do well to do the same.
Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson

Tell me you would not get mad if she talked that way to you
Bye for now

You've got a lot of cheek, addressing the ladies by their first names! Didn't your step father beat any manners into you at all, guttersnipe?
