Scientology strikes back in information war

Another attempt by this heathen scum so called religion to try and highlight its rightness in everything.

Scientologists have returned fire in their online propaganda war with net group Anonymous, posting a series of videos on a website dedicated to explaining their religion.
The professionally produced videos provide a wealth of information about Scientology, in an attempt to counteract commonly held views that the church is secretive about its beliefs.
"It has been attacked, venerated, questioned and praised. The adjectives used to describe it are many and varied," the church's introductory video says.
"Whatever you may have heard concerning Scientology, we present the following as a brief overview of our beliefs, who we are, what we do and the many humanitarian programs sponsored by our church."
The videos provide an upbeat sketch of the religion, portraying it primarily as a path to self improvement.
The church stresses a belief in free speech and freedom of choice, and outlines its opposition to the use of drugs to treat psychological conditions.
Videos highlight the church's work in promoting human rights and contributing to community projects, and also address some of the more controversial terms and practices associated with Scientology.
One video says the term "thetan" is simply a descriptive term used to denote the concept of a spirit or a soul.
"We use thetan to avoid confusion with other beliefs regarding the soul or spirit," the video says.
"It isn't something you have. You wouldn't say, 'my thetan'. You'd simply say, 'me'."
But others have claimed the term is actually part of a complex and unusual mythology, conceived by Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard.
According to these critics, thetans are conceived of as all-knowing beings whose souls are enmeshed with those of humans, following an intergalactic war many years ago.
Only Scientologists who obtain a high "Operating Thetan" level are allowed to know this information, critics say. These claimed aspects of Scientology have been widely discussed and parodied, but are not dealt with in the videos.
Anonymous, a loose collective of individuals associated with forum-based websites such as 4chan, started its Project Chanology protest against Scientology earlier this year.
The group claimed Scientology was suppressing freedom of speech after the church attempted to force video-sharing website YouTube to remove a clip of prominent Scientologist Tom Cruise.
Anonymous released a widely viewed video denouncing Scientology and has since launched two global protests against the religion, each attracting several thousand people worldwide.
Scientologists have in turn labelled Anonymous "cyber-terrorists" and accused the group's members of intimidation and harassment.
Anonymous will hold a third protest on April 12.
    (2 Peter 3:10)

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
