Re: Freehold Welcomes the Largest Chicken Farm in America

The most wonderful food in the world in found right here in the U.S.A. We a Landover Baptist thank the giant factories in our country that fill refrigerated trucks with processed chicken 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

There's always those Israeli featherless ones in which the red stuff (comb) on its head extends down over the whole body. From the photographs they could extend their "wings" in a cage, but I think they're mainly open-range birds.

Exactly! Something like these people serenading cows:

I guess cows that listen to music are believed to produce better milk? Scientists these days come up with the strangest ideas!

I had to smile. The idyllic conditions resulting from socialist over-regulation, akin to a tropical island where French artists see no need to wear clothes, mean that modern farmed poultry grows virtually no feathers. Why would they wanna stretch their wings?

I remember when capons were readily available and even injected a few myself as a child on one of the family farms. Everything was explained but of course not all farmers are Christians and some would go overboard on the early sales and stuff. That was explained to me too. If an electric spit roast offered capons I feel there'd be many more takers. Also toothsome is the old boiler, thoroughly basted with plenty of spice: everybody tucks in! Yummy!! Let's bring back good honest food.

Sure, Jesus approached some fishermen and convinced them to make a career move to become Apostles, but He didn't mean that all of us should become Apostles. These vegan soy hippie types would like us all to become African subsistence farmers - except for them, they get to fly around in jets attending conferences telling the rest of us how to live our lives (and pay for their jets).

    Modern Meat Chicken Industry
    . . .

On average a broiler consumes about 9 pounds of feed (current cost of about $1.50 or $.30/pound) and reaches 5 pounds (live weight) in 5 weeks.

Sometimes when I am traveling, I'll see chicken trucks. It is fun to see how many I can hit with my Glock at highway speeds. Chickens, not trucks.

Poultry is also very accessible to small-scale farmers, who produce most of the food in the world — an important fact that many are unaware of. About 40 percent of the world's population — an estimated 2.6 billion people — are small farmers; a majority of them cultivating less than five acres.1

In some areas that percentage is even higher. In Africa, for example, small farmers grow 90 percent of the available food

"The factory-farming, conventional system claims they feed the world. The actual facts are totally the opposite, but they have the power, and own and control that story," Reginaldo says.
And in Africa it's pretty well wall-to-wall famine!!

God's capitalism has brought us wonderful things including cheap food. Now the Costco Company is making food even cheaper by building the largest chicken farm ever. It will be a couple of hours west of Freehold on I-80. While it is in our neighboring State of Nebraska I think we can be Midwest proud.

I've been working with Mayors in western Iowa and Nebraska to raise the subsidies needed for this project. It will be exciting to see semi truck loads of eggs and chicken breasts rolling down the interstate.

This kind of accomplishment can only come when Republicans have to power to crush the political resistance of liberals. It would be fine to have their cooperation but Godly progress needs to go on with or without them.
