The "Corporate Transparency Act" Was Not Intended for Putin or Trump

For the past couple of decades, liberals in Congress have been at work passing a bill that requires banks to know who owns the corporations depositing money. It is called the "Know you customer act." The Small Business Association has been trying to derail this but it is getting close to becoming the law of the land.

What ever happened to privacy in this country? Some are claiming Putin and other oligarchs will have to reveal they are the owners of "corporations" that show up as depositors. Maybe there is a little corporation that owns and operates a yacht. Why do preying eyes have to know it belongs to Putin?

First they came for the oligarchs, and I did nothing because I was not an oligarch.
Then they came for the right-wing militias, and I did nothing because I was not a right-wing militia.
Then they came for the angry mobs, and I did nothing because I was not an angry mob.
Finally they came for the jack-booted thugs and there was no-one left who could stop them.

The story of liberal persecution is the same throughout history. First line of defense is to protect the oligarchs.
