There is a so called Christian preacher who has started a business selling dope to Christians. His potential market, he says, are "main line" Christians, not hippy ones. He testifies smoking marijuana before prayer makes you closer to God.

How clever Satan is to make a preacher think something like this. It has no basis in the Bible. Every spiritual encounter in the Bible happened to stone sober men.

Paul said he really liked wine. But, when he saw Jesus long after Jesus was crucified, Paul was stone sober. The Bible does not say that in the 1:Corinthians 15:8 chat with Jesus Paul had been drinking wine. It would like Satan to introduce the notion Paul's vision had something to do with mind altering wine.

American Indian people say the drug peyote helps them reach some spiritual being. They never say it is Jesus so we can laugh it off. The same for Christians who hold church in bars and drink beer. If Satan temps you with, "Try this marijuana, it will put you closer to God," remember it is a sin.

I'm a simple man and I like to take the simple viewpoint. Life has taught me that the simplest answer is usually the correct one.
If Our Benevolent God(r) wanted people to take the drugs, He would of supplied them in abundance as he does with a good single malt.
