Heaven Is For Real

This is the unbelievably true story of a little boy who died, went to Heaven, and came back and told his family everything he'd been taught about God and Heaven was just how his preacher father had always said it was! Christians have a history of hoping what they're told is true (Hebrews 11:1), so this should present no mental hurdle for the True Christian™. In this gripping historical account of one boy's unconscious adventures, 4 year old Colton includes detailed elements of his trip Heavenl: the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how “reaaally big” God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit “shoots down power” from Heaven to help those of us who fulfil the requirements of his unconditional love.
In watching this movie, one cannot help but be profoundly grateful for having been born in a nation that embraces the right faith. Why, if little Colton had been born in India, or Afghanistan, or Sweden, he would have seen images reminiscent of the Hindu religion, the Muslim religion, the very flames of fiery pits of Hell, or maybe nothing at all, like millions of others who slip into medical death only to recover later. But our God is a loving God, a God who loves little boys who have been raised to know the incredible, unfathomable story of Jesus' virgin birth, temporary death, resurrection, and self-launch into space where He is at this very moment assembling an army of angels to come and kick some heathen butt! Praise Jesus!
At more than 7.5 million copies of the book sold, and $50 million made from the movie alone, the LORD has indeed blessed this family with financial comfort enough to pay those medical bills without having to swallow their pride and beg for help from Obama's sneaky little plan to use public funds to keep the public from drawing the nation into further, more excruciating debt from the traditional inflation of medical costs which go to financially support the burdened 1% of Job Creators. Unpatriotic Americans will argue that some 90% of new jobs in the last few decades have been created overseas, but let's look at the big picture here: God loves Colton and doesn't want his daddy to worry about medical bills, or how to pay for home improvements, new cars, or vacations ever again. And True Americans(tm) love God.
Things to watch for:
Colton's encounter with Jesus (who assigned him homework), angels, a rainbow-hued horse, John the Baptist, a sister who died as a fetus, everyone's wings, his dead great-grandfather, no one is old and creepy. He learned that the good guys, including his father, would fight in a coming last battle.
Things to talk about with your children:
Many people, even false Christians, would have dismissed this story as the medication-induced hallucinations of a severely ill toddler. True Christians™ know how to seek confirmation: Holy Scripture.
Things Colton saw:
Things Colton probably didn't have time to see:
Also talk with your children about how God is always there for you, if you are faithful, and it is His Will. Colton's parents watched him get sicker and sicker for days, and only brought him to the doctor after days of hourly vomiting and diarrhea. These days in which Colton's little organs were fighting mortal infections were spent in prayer and appropriate work for the LORD. Jesus honors those who love him by bringing their dead children back to life, sometimes. He did for Jairus' daughter (Matthew 9:25), and He did for Colton. He may or may not for you or your little child, but regardless, God is good all the time, all the time God is good!- God's big chair: Revelation 20:11
- Angels: Revelation 21:9-11
- Horses: Revelation 19:14
- Coming Last Battle: Revelation 19:11
Things Colton probably didn't have time to see:
- New thermodynamics (Revelation 7:16)
- New light source (Revelation 21:23)
- The unspeakable words no man (or apparently child) is allowed to utter: 2 Corinthians 12:4
Children should also be reminded of what the alternative to Heaven is, and what happens to little boys and girls whose names are not written in the Book of Life (Revelation 20:15).
I give this movie five stars!
