    Notice: All Handicapped Ramps to be Removed

    Public Notice. Public Notice.

    Signed by my hand today is the following Public Notice. As of November 1, 2010, all handicapped ramps to businesses, buildings, homes and offices shall be removed. These must be removed by private property owners.

    All ramps on public property will be removed by the City of Freehold. Those on property owned by Iowa's State Government or the United States Federal Government will also be removed by employees of the City of Freehold.

    The reason for the removal is that the Federal Handicapped Assess Law has expired, or, seems to have expired since we no longer hear much about it. We don't hear much about the State of Iowa's handicapped access law which was adopted with much fanfare about 20 some years ago.

    By eliminating these unsitely ramps, we believe the City will be much more attractive and will further prosper.

    In addition, we will no longer an a "issue" with these ramps. The issue I refer to is the fall which one of the Pastors' wives experienced last winter while walking in heels on one of our sidewalk ramps during an icy spell.

    Please join me in the enjoyment of the fall colors in this, the most beautiful City in America.

    Does this mean the handicapped will no longer be coddled to with their ''special parking'' etc as well? I mean that must be one of the most abused laws ever put on the books. If you are too infirm to get yourself to your car you might want to reconsider being the operator of a vehicle on the open roads.Also have you noticed how many cripples their are that earn a living as attorneys, law makers, movers and shakers etc. that have issues ambulating the parking lot at Walmarts.
    While I am on the subject, will the oversized toilets become common ground for everyone's use?

      Shout GLORY! I've been trying to get the city fathers to make this move for years now. It's time for Feehold to follow Landover Baptist Church's shining example, and stop mollycoddling the cripples!

      I'm sure you all remember my famous sermon, "There are NO RAMPS in God's Favorite Church! "

        They don't need the spaces. They all come in the same bus anyway. And if they were real cripples, they are cursed or Jesus would have cured them by now. It's like giving a gift to satan.

          I still cannot understand how a handicapped person can drive. If they are unable to walk, then how are able to use the brake, accelerator and clutch. It's about time this fraud has been closed down.

                    Brother Benedict--With all due respect, this is a topic probably we should not discuss on this board. For the most part, I do not issue these for handicapped people. They are issued to Pastors so they can get on with their important work of spreading the Word.

                      Is there any possibility of getting the anti-ramp legislation extended to cover all handicapped tramps as well?

                      God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave.                               Very true! Instead of praying for healing and actually trying to walk again, they just laze around in the chairs and suck at the socialist teat.

                              Nowadays, they don't even have to push themselves, the chairs are electric.
