Then you're not a Shinto. Shinto has no known set of codes.

Therefore you're a liar and you've lost your honour. According to the Bushido code you have to commit suicide.

Jinja (Shrine) Shinto: This is the largest Shinto group. It was the original form of the religion; its roots date back into pre-history. Until the end of World War II, it was closely aligned with State Shinto. The Emperor of Japan was worshipped as a living God. Almost all shrines in Japan are members of Jinja Honcho, the Association of Shinto Shrines. It currently includes about 80,000 shrines as members. The association urges followers of Shinto
      1. "To be grateful for the blessings of Kami and the benefits of the ancestors, and to be diligent in the observance of the Shinto rites, applying oneself to them with sincerity. brightness, and purity of heart."
      2. "To be helpful to others and in the world at large through deeds of service without thought of rewards, and to seek the advancement of the world as one whose life mediates the will of Kami."
      3. "To bind oneself with others in harmonious acknowledgment of the will of the emperor, praying that the country may flourish and that other peoples too may live in peace and prosperity." 5

As I said before, I have incorporated a great many things. Not all of it is "good or bad." This form of Shinto is the form I have been studying and have incorporated the Bushido code into my daily life so Seppuku is not neccessary.

Oh, I see. So now you're a Jinja Shinto which invalidates your responsibilities to the Bushido code. Why don't you just come clean and admit you have no idea what you're doing?

I do know what I'm doing. obviously something is being lost in the translation. Nothing invalidates my Bushido code. Where is this being mixed up? Am I not expressing the point properly?

Re: Curious as to why my name was changed

Shinto writes: "I started asking questions about things that seemed difficult to understand."

Oh great. So he settled on blasphemous ancestor- and nature-spirit worship as an "answer" to his questions.

What were those questions -- what kind of sake goes best with mung beans?

I am really, really distressed by idiots who buy into the latest Nipponiphilic craze and decide they wannabe a ninja fool or a manga tentacle-rapist or a kung-fu sage or a pokemon mouse...or a goddam "shinto warrior."

                    Sorry, not impressed.

Why don't you fall down on your deluded knees and pray that Lord Jesus doesn't see fit to hurl you straight into Hell RIGHT NOW?

Listen. God made some promises to mankind. He promised that when Jesus returns He will torment mankind so horribly that men will will to die...but death shall flee from them. He promised He will hurl unbelievers -- and that would be you -- into a place of unquenchable fire, and the smoke of their burning shall rise up forever.

That's what a REAL GOD acts like! None of that mushy ancestor-worship crap; no hitting each other with bits of bamboo and eating fermented bean curd and adopting Japanese superstition in place of good old American religion.

NOSIR! The Lord is a man of WAR! His name is Jealous! His chief attribute is an infinite and eternal capacity for vengeance!

You had best repent your silly faux-Nipponese superstition tout de suite, little mister!

Be careful not to underestimate your adversary. You came here for an argument, and we give you GOOD argument. If you want abuse, that's next door, but we do that sometimes on our day off.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Re: Curious as to why my name was changed

Nobar, I don't ever underestimate an adversary. You are giving me a good argument/ debate and I appreciate it. It shows me just how dedicated you are to your following and teachings. Also I really could care less for abuse, But I'll probably recieve it soon enough...

One eyed jack, do not mistake my passifism for weakness. That would be a mistake, because I can be war like. Trust me on that. And no I would never be so audacious as to compare myself to a god or "THE GOD" or however you view it. I am not into this "Nippon Craze" as a flavor of the month, so get that thought out of your mind cause that isn't me. According to Scriptures, did not God give man free will? Well I had free will and chose a life path that I am happy with. Sorry if you aren't

Pastor Reuban, you ask a good question. And my sensei would be proud of the fact that I am in a discussion with people who may not understand and in a weird sorta twisted way seek knowledge from a completely different source than that which you are used to.

Deaner, I have not been misrepresenting myself in the least. I've explained how I live my life. Where things fit into my life and what training I have incorporated into my life. I have combined my belief system with the Bushido code which sprung from the old warrior code of the ancients. Where is this a misrepresentation? And I do not need to perform Seppuku for the fact that I have not dishonored myself. Have you ever heard of a Ronin. It is a Samurai who does not have a lord. Not THE LORD but a lord. So in the eyes of the supreme beings (perhaps not GOD) I have not done anything to warrant Seppuku.

I thought you said in another thread that you were an "ecclectic [sic] pagan", and only started with the shinto recently.

And as you've said, you HOPE to someday be a shinto warrior (sounds like a Muslim Jihadist). Therefore, you are, in fact, a wannabe. And a whiny wannabe.
