This guy was expecting something a little nicer:
When I was sixteen my mom gave me her old beater car and bought a new car for herself. I didn't feel like I expected or even deserved getting a new car. That old car was great until I totaled it the next year. I guess it's a good thing that I didn't get a new car first. (I still have never had a new car- I always buy used).

Re: Parents: do you buy your child a car when he turns sixteen?
Can't say I be blaming him.
Michael bought me a car once, a USED, Bentley. I can't be seen in no USED Bentley. I did not beat on the car, I did pop Michael one though. Ungrateful shit. He'd be nuthin' if it weren't for me.

When they turn 16 buy them their own copy of the King James Bible so they don't have to share the one on the dining room hutch with the rest of the kids.
If the child is a male, it might be a good idea to be looking at a chastity device to avoid any accidents with the neighboring Joos and Catlix harlot daughters.Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

The mere thought of buying a car for a 16 year old is beyond comprehension. It is nothing more than a sexmobile for them to go out whoring with the local harlots. If they want a car they can get a job and buy it themselves, along with paying for their own insurance.Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;

I can only speak for myself, but once my son comes of age, he will likely inherit one of my older Hummers that I've since upgraded. If he wants something more up-to-date, he will have to work for it.

In my opinion, a 16 year old should get a car that doesn't run, and will not run, without a years worth of transmission and engine work and a little elbow grease. This will teach the teenager the value of hard work and mechanical know-how. By the end of the project, they'll be teaching the workers at Auto Zone a thing or two about automobiles!
This goes for the boys only. As for 16 year old girls...I don't think they have the mental capacity to drive a car at that age. Even when they're in the car by themselves they'd be yap-yapping away to nobody in particular, and get into an accident.A baby is a human being, not a stem cell!
Psalm 139:19-20
Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.
For they speak against thee wickedly, and thine enemies take thy name in vain.

Amen, Brother Eugene! Back when I was a teenager growing up in the 1950's, my dad gave me the old '38 Ford coupe with the peeling paint and choking engine. He didn't run out and get me the latest '57 Corvette. There was no MTV "Sweet Sixteen" crap in those days! And boy howdy, did I learn the value of hard work with that car. Didn't make much those days working as a soda jerk, so I had to learn how to repair the car myself. I thank my father for giving me that opportunity.Originally posted by Eugene Hackwith View PostIn my opinion, a 16 year old should get a car that doesn't run, and will not run, without a years worth of transmission and engine work and a little elbow grease. Of course nowadays when my SL65 needs an oil change I don't get all dirty and go under her, I'll just swing her by the Mercedes-Benz dealership and slip them an extra fifty as a "bonus" to ensure they do a good job on her. Still, I miss those days of being a grease monkey back in Bible college... Imagine me, looking all rockabilly with the folded up Levi's and the Converse shoes and the slick pompadour and ducktail with more grease than my car trying to convert all the hip cats around town to accept Jesus. "Greasers for Jesus" that was the name of our gang...

I agree, I'm 18 and I don't think women should be driving at all. The only time a woman should be near a car is to help pull in some of the light groceries. It's the man's job to work and provide transportation, it's a woman's job to relieve the stress and keep him happy and healthy!

I don't think I'd be the man I am today if I didn't have that strong father of mine! These days a lot of men are weak and too self involved to teach their kids lessons like our fathers taught us. So, they just go and hand their kid a set of keys.Originally posted by Rev. Jim Osborne View PostAmen, Brother Eugene! Even Jesus had to put in some hard work to get to where He was going.

Even though there would always be an opposite result to this.Originally posted by Ashley P View PostI agree, I'm 18 and I don't think women should be driving at all.
