  • What does "go down on" mean?

I'm not sure if this is something I should ask my daddy since I don't want to tell on my big brother... but I know I can ask here because Miss. Felicity always asks questions here and everyone knows the answers.

Anyway... my big brothers and I were out in the back yard picking apples for ma and my second oldest brother Josiah was talking about his new girlfriend Mary and how she wants him to "go down on" her. I didn't want to interrupt the boys talking but now I'm curious of what it means.

    Ephesians 5:22

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

I think this is specifically something you should tell your father. Sounds like your brothers need to be thrashed violently.

To be blunt, it's a form of sodomy, I don't think you need to know more than that.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Brother Campbell is correct. You MUST inform your father, your pastor, and your Republican congressman immediately!

Your brother is readying himself to sip from Satan's wineglass. The terrible ends to which this can lead need not be elucidated. He must be stopped and stopped now!

Don't ever be afraid to tell on someone for God, my child. For while it is true that God sees all, He depends on us, His elect, to keep everyone informed of all the evil that others do.

@Annie1 I think it means he wants to go down on his knees and pray together with the girl he likes.

Did he ask her father for her hand yet?
        I Jesus!

If she touches him inappropriately before being married, he might get her hand. JUST her hand!

Maybe they're referring to that old nigra spiritual "Go Down Moses?"

Re: What does "go down on" mean?

I hope it means go down on his knees and pray with her like Miss Felicity said and not horrible sodomy . I told daddy just to make sure and wouldn't tell me what it meant but he took Josiah out for a walk to talk to him last night. I haven't seen him yet because they were gone when it was my bed time and they're still sleeping now (I get up very early to make breakfast usually).

Ralph, I know perfectly well the correct spelling and usage of "mete". A simple typo will not offend the Lord; He is well aware of the meaning that I intended.

And there are certain times and circumstances when what some might view as "kindness" is cruel indifference to a person's eternal soul. I stand by what I have written. Furthermore, your glib attempt to correct my spelling will not be forgotten quickly. They don't call me "God's Grammarian" for nothing.

More a case of "Care in The Community" so far isn't it Zekie Boy? I don't think it is working, maybe a short spell as an inpatient would be beneficial for you.

Making a big thing out of typos is not cricket! The capital on "He" is presumably another. But your continually capitalizing the Y in Yours is not. Think about what you are doing, dear. The second word in a sentence is not usually capitalized, is it?

Mind you, I do share some of your reservations about the "returning people to the community" policy. (For obvious reasons, wink, wink.)

To be fair to Mien Handy, she was responding to a criticism of her typos, so it would have been more accurate to point out what a hypocrite she was being.
