Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
apologies that this will be a somewhat long introduction, but I want you to know the sad story of my agnostic youth and the glorious tale of my enlightenment through the Word of the LORD.
I am grateful to have found this bastion of true believers in the word of the LORD, at a time when rationalists are threatening the minds of our children from all sides. It pains me to admit that I come from "Old Europe" – the part that shamefully refused to support Bush, Ashcroft and Wolfowitz in their just crusade.
Sadly, I was raised in an agnostic household, without being baptized, and was given the opportunity to decide if I wanted to join a church in time for holy communion. Of course I was delighted to finally be baptized – and still consider it gross negligence by my parents to not baptize me just after birth... what if I had died before accepting Jesus as my personal savior???
I even joined the rank and file of the Roman Catholic church as a choir boy. However, after a few years I felt that something was wrong with the way the Roman Catholic hierarchy worked. I became disillusioned and an Agnostic Atheist sometime before I turned 18, straying dangerously from the path of righteousness.
However, through guidance from the Holy Spirit, I later picked up a KJV Bible and started reading for myself. This is when the power of the Word of the LORD truly hit me. I started reading HIS wisdom and was certain that HE had a plan for me. I used to think some parts of the bible were only to be taken metaphorically, because that is what I had learned from the Roman Catholic church.
But the watershed moment when I became a born-again Biblical literalist was when I realized that the LORD spoke not in metaphors, but in clear, unambiguous language, available for all who have eyes to read. I found most striking how the LORD in his infinite benevolence and wisdom had set up a simple test for who was a True Christian who knew the Bible and who was just superficially proclaiming their Christianity.
I speak, of course, about the brilliant misdirection in Exodus through which the LORD has clouded the minds of most self-proclaimed “Christians” today into following the wrong set of the 10 Commandments (Exodus 20:1-18). Those expired 10 Commandments have only ever been in effect for perhaps an hours before the LORD got so upset by the Israelites worshipping the golden calf that he wanted to destroy all of them. Moses prevented this by pointing out that the LORD would look small in the eyes of the Egyptians and would have broken his promises. (Exodus 32:11-14)
Instead, Moses came down from the mount and destroyed the tablets holding the first version of the 10 Commandments:
“And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.” (Exodus 32:19)
Then he proceeded to cleanse the camp of those who had worshipped the golden calf through righteous fraticide. Afterwards, Moses climbed back to the top of the mountain with two new, blank tablets and received the real, current and eternal version of the 10 Commandments (Exodus 34:17-28). To ensure that True Christians
who took the trouble to actually read the word of the LORD themselves would know which were the true 10 Commandments, the LORD in his infinite compassion even put very clear statements before and after them:
“Observe thou that which I command thee this day” (Ex. 34:11) before and
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Write thou these words: for after the tenor of these words I have made a covenant with thee and with Israel. And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.” (Ex. 34:27-28) immediately afterwards.
That is when I knew I was SAVED as I had passed the test, put in the Bible to separate the superficial Christians who rely on a second-hand interpretation of scripture (and will go to HELL for not following the true commandments on which the covenant has been based) from the TRUE Christians who know the true words of their LORD because they have read the Bible themselves. Because I know the REAL 10 Commandments, I know that I must not seethe a kid in its mother's milk (Ex. 34: 26) and that I must sacrifice a lamb if I wish to avoid sacrificing my firstborn son, who belongs to GOD (Ex. 34:20).
I am very happy and humbled that I have finally found a group of like-minded True Christians who understand how important it is to study the bible cover-to-cover, to understand the LORD's plan for your life and how to be SAVED by Jesus Christ.
I am happy that I shall be in Heaven with the other True Christians, while all the superficial, modern, rationalist “Christians” will know eternal damnation in Hell for their ignorance, lazyness and moral relativism.
Amen,
Alvin
