    "Shh..."

    My head keeps on swimmin' with all
    the thoughts of tomorrow, yeah,
    that're keepin' me up at night,
    keepin' me up.

    Over and over, same damn things:
    worries, plans, scenarios,
    that're stressin' me out right now,
    stressin' me out.

    Shh...
    Still the thoughts.
    Shh...
    Calm the fears.
    Shee...
    Ignore the worries.
    I can, as long as you're here.
    For you are my refuge,
    so I wanna stay;
    only talking with you
    keeps those thoughts at bay.
    Shh...
    Touch my head now.
    Shh...
    Make me forget now
    that there's anything else but you.

    Have to go here, have to do
    everything and it's
    drivin' me nuts right now,
    drivin' me nuts.

    Payin' the bills; don't go too broke;
    don't forget the appointment.
    Makin' me freak right out,
    makin' me freak.

    Shh...
    Close my eyes.
    Shh...
    Calm the fears.
    Shh...
    Relax and unwind.
    I can, as long as you're here.
    For you are my refuge,
    so with you I'll stay.
    Only being with you
    keeps the world at bay.

      *Blushes* Thanks. I haven't been able to write in a while, because the only time I seem to be able to write anything that's half-way decent (or, at the very least, not complete crap) is when I'm deprived of sleep, which I have been lately. And before I went to sleep last night, this came pouring out.

          Well, the word 'jesus' doesn't exist in that poem, and since the jesus described in the bible didn't IMO exist, I'd say that the two nonexistences do coincide, so therefore that could, indeed, count as a mention.

              I improved your poem up. It's now 100% less emo and more pleasing to the eye.
              O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.



              God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

                        Yo sass be what be unwelcomed. Outta the kindness of his heart, he had done did took yo jumble of words and made it where it not only be readable, but praiseworthy!
