    A science experiment for atheists.

    Hello atheists.

    I have an experiment for you here are the materials you will need:

    1. A medium sauce pan.

    2. Water.

    3. A stove or a hot plate or a campfire.

    4. Your finger.



    Only do this experiment if you are a legal adult in your country those are the rules. If you are a minor ask your parents first.



    Sometimes when atheists are here and they are losing a theological discussion they will say things like:

    - I do not care if I go to Hell because at least it will be warm.

    - it is okay because all of my friends will be there.

    - We can do whatever we want.

    - I will be dancing around and drinking Cognac.

    Etc.



    I do not think they understand how hot it will be in Hell look at how Hell is described in Revelation 21:8 it says:

    But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.



    I made the word brimstone in BOLD it is not like that in the King James Version Bible it is only to draw your attention to that word.

    a. I did not know what brimstone was so I looked it up and it is sulfur.

    b. Since the sulfur would have to be liquid in order to be part of a lake I looked up the melting point of sulfur and it is 239.38 °F.

    c. I looked up the boiling point of water and it is 212° F or 27.38° less than the melting point of sulfur.

    Okay here is the experiment:

    1. Put some water in the sauce pan and bring it to a boil.

    2. Put the tip of your finger in the boiling water and see how long you can hold it there.

    I tried it and I could not keep it there for very long and now the colored girl who does things for me keeps putting coconut oil on it maybe she burns herself a lot and that is why she smells like coconuts.

    I probably put 1 square inch of skin in the water now imagine your entire body covered with something even hotter and not just for one second but for eternity and I do not think you will be drinking cognac or talking with your friends or dancing at least not regular dancing.

    P.S. If the sulfur is on fire it will be about 3000° F.

    That is a fine experiment, Rusty.

    It makes me wonder, if a simple man can understand the consequences of Hell, how atheism must make a normal person so retarded that he looks forward to it.

    I feel so sorry for Jesus, knowing the soul He creates for life is going to spend an eternity in abject suffering just for his pride. I wonder if He feels robbed (Ecclesiastes 12:13), and that's why He hates atheists so.

        I wish I had read this post a few weeks ago.

        I was forced to do something similar with my youthful, clean limbed, lithe young Nephew when I found him reading a so called comic book about some goofy fella dressed up like some kinda queer.

        I told him that he was on an express elevator to Hell, going down but he just looked at me like I was a jack ass

        I just could not get the idea of his supple, lightly muscled, lithe young body (possible naked) burning forever in the Lake of Fire

        But you know what they say: show, don't tell.

        It was a difficult thing to do but I held his hand on that hot plate till he cried 'Uncle' and then some.

        There is nothing I would not do to keep my Nephew out of Satan's embrace and in the muscular arms of The Lord Jesus Christ Himself but thinking about it Brother Rusty's experiment may have been a better option: his mum would not have yelled at me as much, anyway.

          I will admit upfront, I have not tried the experiment yet.

          I have a question that has relevance, however.

          When one dies, and goes to Hell, what exactly is burning for all eternity? It's not the body, right? 'Cause that's still "up" on Earth, rotting in the ground.

          So, I assume it's the soul that's burning.

          Is a soul flammable?

          Are the fires of hell spiritual fires as opposed to examples of the physical process of combustion?

          I'm asking because it seems to me that - while burning my finger MAY be a step in the right direction of self-negation and suffering as a method to eventually convincing me to fall down on my knees and repent profusely - if it's not my physical body that will be burning in Hell, then this experiment isn't really an appropriate comparison.

          That being said, I eagerly await True Christian correction on this.

              Wrong. It is the body. The damned will be resurrected on the Last Day and cast bodily into the lake of fire.

                Russell, I am an adult. Still haven't done the experiment. But I HAVE burned my hand before, so I can more or less extrapolate what would happen.

                My nickname is a reference to the Nephilim. THAT you will find in a Google search.

                Pim - thank you for your True Christian clarification! I see that there is scriptural evidence for your conclusion. Much to consider.

                      I conducted this experiment and I can conclude it is not very pleasant in the slightest. I also tried another experiment relating to Islam whereby I had intercourse with a virgin which felt great. So my dilemma is shall I act in accordance with Gods rules in the hope of avoiding the hellfire, or do I matar myself and land on a cloud full of virgins.

                      As long as theres no saucepans full of boiling hot water in martar heaven I'm currently leaning towards that. Hopefully a true Christian may help me rescue my soul because I get the feeling Islam may be full of shit. Dirty arab lies

                        The experiment seems to verify the Christian doctrine, but does nothing to convince non-believers of Christ, it's scare tactics. Hellfire and brimstone sermons worked back in the 1600's when the bible was all men and women knew, when populations remained uneducated. In today's changing world, it seems only logical that new strategies must be employed for converting non-believers to Christ.

                          I know a youth pastor who routinely bribes young children into accepting Christ by offering them pieces of Jolly Rancher candy. A very practical and cost effective way of adding to the ranks of God's army. I am going to recommend brother Rusty's method to him as a contingency, however. Some of these kids are hard nuts to crack.
