    More blasphemy: lego Jesus!

Swedish church unveils Lego Jesus statue for Easter

STOCKHOLM (AFP) – While most Christians mark Easter with prayers and song, one Swedish church opened its mass Sunday by unveiling a life-size Lego statue of Jesus Christ, its pastor told AFP.
Churchgoers had donated nearly 30,000 Lego bricks to build the 1.78 metre (5.8 foot) high statue, said Per Wilder, the pastor of the Oensta Gryta Church in Vaesteras, about 110 kilometres (70 miles) west of Stockholm.
"This work began a year and a half ago so we saw that the initiation date was fitting in well (with this year's Easter holiday)," Wilder said.
"It is a fantastic installation and it will be there as long as we think it is in a good spot," he said.

open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

That's just like the Sweedish to think that a spot might only temporarily be good for Jesus. That spot has permanently been touched by Jesus. More appropriate would be for them to build a lego manger around him, or at least a Lego cave that he would be emerging from.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

This highlights one of the greatest dangers posed by the lego menace: it allows God-mockers to dismantle Jesus and reassemble Him as they please. Do you think it's acceptable to remove Jesus' Blessed Member and reattach it to His Blessed Forehead? With a lego Lord, you can do just that - and it appears that demon-possessed child is intent on doing so.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

"Chilling out" as you kids call it, is exactly what satan would want us to do here! You think it's okay to build graven images? I can tell you it's not!

          Exodus 20:4
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

I definitely agree with you. The bible EXPLICITLY prohibits the creation of a graven image of Jesus Christ or God Himself. I have always wondered, and hope for someone to enlighten me on the subject, how paintings sculptures or statues of Jesus Christ or God are permitted? Can someone help me out here?
Upon the wicked He shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. (Psalm 11:6)

Legos are the building blocks of satan! Notice that each block has several extensions, which are inserted into holes in adjacent blocks to hold them together. Their graven image of the LORD is made up of thousands of models of s*xual intercourse! And knowing Sweden, it's probably pre-marital and underage. Shame.

The Swedes have always been turnip-brained anyway, so it's hardly surprising. I still never understood why Elvis Presley dedicated a song to footwear produced there.

Hell will melt them into shape no doubt.

do these two sources not sufficiently prove that the Lord does not want us to crate a graven image of Him?

Oh goodness! I have a beautiful painting of our blond Lord Jesus in my center hallway. But I promise I do not bow down to it! I just admire his cleft chin, bright blue eyes and gleaming white smile.
