  • Spring Cleaning: Throw out mixed fabrics! (Thus saith the LORD)

Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee. -Leviticus 19:19

While the first two items on GOD's list of how to run your business apply only to farmers, the last item applies to everybody.

The LORD is all-knowing and all-powerful. He sees everything, and no detail about your personal life is too petty or insignificant for Him to dictate to you. PRAISE HIM!

In Leviticus 19:19, GOD tells us He does not want us to wear clothes made from more than one fabric. We are not to adhere to the fashions and trends of the world, but when the LORD says something is a faux pas, it must be faux pas, amen?

I strongly encourage my True Christian brothers and sisters to dig through their closets and throw out any clothing you own that is made of mixed fabrics. If you're not going to throw it out, you should at least make sure you don't wear it anymore, as the verse technically reads neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woolen come upon thee.

However I'm sure it would please GOD if you engaged in the destruction of something worldly like clothing.

If you're like me, passionate about maintaining the Christian values this country is founded on, you might consider writing to some major clothing makers and telling them that they are leading people into sin by making clothes of mixed fabrics!

Amen, and may GOD bless you this spring!

This is an excellent point, B4B, and I'm glad you brought it up. But, I have a question.

Right now I'm wearing a sweatshirt made by the mammom-worshiping Patagonia company. The shirt's made from ground-up plastic milk bottles, or something like that. Now, the Lord doesn't mention hating fabrics made from ground-up plastic, but I can't believe He'd remain neutral about something so worldly. How do I discern the Lord's will for me and this shirt?

Thank you, Brother Bob. We must protect the sanctity of traditional single-fabric clothing.

As for the shirt made out of ground-up plastic bottles, that sounds like something that a Gaia-worshiping lieberal would wear. Brother Lee, I would never presume to question the purity of your motives, but to be on the safe side, and to abstain from even an appearance of evil (1 Th. 5:22), perhaps you can bring the shirt to our next book-burning?
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I would definitely get rid of it, brother Larry. Best to be on the safe side of the LORD.

People have tried to use GOD's silence on certain topics to justify sinning, such as m*sturbation. Just because GOD doesn't tell you NOT to do something doesn't mean it's okay to go ahead and do it. It may be one of His clever traps to test you!
