    Please pray for my Daddy

    Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

    As you know, my mother died almost 30 years ago now. As an only child I have devoted my life to looking after Daddy. Daddy has always walked with the Lord. As well as working in the uranium mine here in outback Western Australia he has been the local Baptist Pastor.

    Daddy had a doctor's appointment this morning and I am afraid the news is not good. The years of exposure to uranium have affected his liver. The doctor wants him to go on a liver cleansing diet and has told him that he can never drink his favourite Fosters beer again.

    Apart from all the physical illness and pain Daddy is currently experiencing he is also a broken man. So downhearted. I have never seen him like this before.

    I am busy in the kitchen making his favourite koala and mango pies, with tears streaming down my cheeks.

    Please keep Daddy in your prayers. Once my pies are out of the wood fired oven I will be taking to my prayer closet to beg my Heavenly Father to heal my Earthly Father.

    Please join me in prayer.

      Although I would be concerned about my tears making the pie salty, it seems that God appreciates a tear soaked pie.

      Psalms 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where [is] thy God?

      Psalms 80:5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.

              Oh child,
              It seems that we were just chatting about your father and then this happens, I am so sorry to hear it but knowing your Father He will be looking forward to be sitting next to Jesus!
              You are cooking him his favorite foods, his appetite is still good? I am sure the pies will be all the better seasoned with a daughters tears.Keep us informed.

                Thank you all for your kind thoughts and prayers.

                Daddy started deteriorating markedly when Australia got a single female, atheist, lefty, feminazi as a Prime Minister. He never ever thought he would see such a thing is his lifetime. And the decision for him as to who we should vote for in the upcoming election is killing him. The Greens have an openly homosexual leader, Coalition has a papist monk and Labor has an atheist communist.

                I just don't know how to help Dad other than pray harder, make his favourite foods and keep house for him.

                    Sister Charli there must be some good standing independents he can vote for, unless they happen to be boomerang throwers.

                      Not way out here Miss Lisa.

                      We get a choice of three candidates - Labor, National and Green. And being outback it is a safe National seat anyway. But a vote for them means The Mad Abbott will be Prime Minister. So even tho we don't even have a Liberal candidate our vote goes towards them.

                      Daddy is just so heartbroken. And now with the news from the doctor this morning .........

                        Try not to let him dwell on it too much. I will admit that the current crop is like picking the best demon. I dread Mad Abbott, it would not surprise me if wants everyone to run around in those budgie smugglers.

                          Sister Phebe and I will pray for him. If Jesus decides its his time, so be it, at least he will be in a much better place.

                            I know by law you have to vote, but can you spoil the ballot? Write in "A True Christian Leader"?

                              By law we do not have to vote. We just have to turn up to a polling booth and get our name crossed off.

                              But that will not alter the result. And I fear that either of the two parties winning will ....... oh, I can't say it.
