Who is the head of the Jewish faith?

I hadn't realized the sheenies had one central leader, but you learn something new every day:

Republican tells funny joke, Democrats get their panties in a bunch

State Sen. Mark Herring, the Democratic nominee to be the next attorney general of Virginia, is condemning comments made Tuesday by a fellow Loudoun County politician, Republican John Whitbeck.

During a Constitution Day Rally for the GOP's gubernatorial candidate Ken Cuccinelli in Sterling, Whitbeck, the chairman of Virginia's 10th Congressional District Republican Committee, made what many are considering anti-Semitic remarks.

Said Whitbeck: “ … when the pope is elected, the head of the Jewish faith goes to the Vatican and brings a ceremonial piece of paper. It's very old and it dates back hundreds of years, and he comes into the pope's office and he ceremonially hands the piece of paper to the pope, the new pope. And then the new pope ceremonially rejects it. And the head of the Jewish faith leaves . . . Well, this time around, the pope said: 'I gotta find out what's on this piece of paper.' So he actually takes it from the head of the Jewish faith, he opens it and he looks at it, and he closes it ... and his Jewish counterpart says 'what was it?' And he says, 'well, that was the bill for the last supper.'”

Herring is the first local candidate in November's elections to blast Whitbeck for the his so-called joke. Thus far, no Loudoun County Republicans have admonished the remarks.

“His comments were offensive, deplorable and a disgrace to Loudoun County and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Whitbeck needs to issue a public apology immediately for his statement, and every candidate on the Republican ticket should condemn these types of inflammatory comments,” Herring said in a statement Tuesday evening.

Herring, who has served in the state Senate since 2007, said “he's worked hard to foster an environment that is welcoming of people of all faiths, ethnicities and backgrounds.”

“Mr. Whitbeck’s comments stand in stark contrast to those beliefs, and the efforts of so many in our community to promote acceptance,” he noted.

A Leesburg attorney, Whitbeck campaigned for the House of Delegates 10th District seat in 2011, a race he lost in the Republican primary to current Del. Randy Minchew.

Since 2004, Whitbeck has donated more than $5,500 to Republican candidates or the GOP 10th district committee, according to the Virginia Public Access Project.

“At yesterday's rally, I told a joke,” Whitbeck told the Times-Mirror Wednesday. “I did not tell an anti-Semitic joke. I told a joke I heard from a priest at a church service.”

Whitbeck continued, “Any alleged outrage over this joke has been wholly manufactured by American Bridge, an organization founded by Democrat activist David Brock and funded by Georg Soros. American Bridge, which has the sole purpose of electing Democrats by attacking Republicans, has repeatedly demonstrated its commitment to defeating Ken Cuccinelli by any means they deem necessary.”

The 10th District committee chairman called attention to Cuccinelli's recent endorsement from the Northern Virginia Technology Council's (NVTC) TechPAC, saying the Democrats are "desperate to change the topic."

“Northern Virginia Technology Council's TechPAC's endorsement of Ken Cuccinelli over Terry McAuliffe has clearly changed momentum in the race for governor,” Whitbeck said.

The Cuccinelli campaign, however, maintained Wednesday that Whitbeck's comments were ill-suited.

“I don’t even know who [Whitbeck] is. It’s wholly inappropriate and not connected to the campaign. And it’s not reflective of Ken Cuccinelli,” Chris LaCivita, a Cuccinelli adviser, said in a statement.

Whitbeck's comments have been widely circulated on social media and the Internet, including websites HuffingtonPost.com, Salon.com and NYMag.com.

Coincidentally, NVTC's TechPAC on Wednesday endorsed Herring's campaign for attorney general over his Republican challenger, state Sen. Mark Obenshain.

That's a great gag, but it's left me with more questions than laughs:

I had not realized there was a Jewish counterpart to the pope.

    Who is this sinister personage?

Can anybody help me identify this person?

Does the Jewish pope endorse kiddy fiddling the way the Catholic one does?

    Please enlighten me.

Re: Who is the head of the Jewish faith?

I think he lived in Brooklyn, but he died. I can't remember his name. He was a Russian Jew. He was some kind of Rebbe. Maybe that means Head Jew in their secret language, Yiddish.

This brings up another of life's interesting coincidences: The head Jew of Russia, Brooklyn and the world died; Vladimir Putin became saved and joined the Republican Party.

How do you explain the reelection of President Obama in light of these events?

Does anyone really believe in coincidences?

What is the issue here? I don't get it. The guy told a joke. Just because he's Godly Republican, that doesn't mean everyone should gang up on him.

And he says, 'well, that was the bill for the last supper.'”

Re: Who is the head of the Jewish faith?

That's a classic old joke - no doubt written by a joo comedian and told in the Catskills. Once again the Democrats prove they don't have a sense of humor.

Re: Who is the head of the Jewish faith?

The head of the Jewish faith is also the head of the Catholic faith. And the Muslim faith, the Hindu faith, the Buddhist faith, the Wiccan faith, and the atheist faith. We all know who it is.

That's not what the joke is about, though. It's a silly little thing. It made me smile. There was a show on HBO recently where some medieval knights hacked off President Bush's head, rammed a spike through it, and stuck it on the wall of their castle—and everyone thought it was hysterical. Democrat humor, like Democrat everything else, is crude, lurid, hateful, and often treasonous, yet they never have to apologize. It seriously turns my stomach.

          Oh, by the way...

What's the difference between shit and the Holocaust?

          Shit happens.

The Rabbi is but I don't know if there's a head Rabbi or not. We had some Jews living next door to us and they were strange and kinda spooky.
