  • Christian Theology in a Nutshell

God created the world. (Genesis 1:1)

People chose to rebel against Him. (Genesis 3:6, Ecclesiastes 7:20, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23)

God came and died (as Jesus) to save some of them... (John 3:18, John 6:44, 65, John 15:16, Revelation 20:15 etc.)

... from the Death they deserve. (Isaiah 5:25, Romans 6:23).

Did Jesus hang up there on that cross, dying for our sins (temporarily) for the sake of all humanity? No. He died for the People of God, not all of humanity (John 3:18).

Salvation® includes Adoption (Romans 8:15-16, 23, Ephesians 1:5). This implies that there are people in this world who are made in His image and likeness, but who through their own choices do not receive the Grace offered by the LORD, through Himself (Jesus), do not satisfy the criteria to receive all of His unconditional love, thereby avoiding the eternal torments awaiting all those who do not sufficiently please Him.

It's really sad that God created people who He knew would fail to meet the criteria to receive His unconditional love, thereby necessitating their consignment to never-ending agony in the fiery pits of Hell, but when we can't understand His ways, we may yet rejoice in His promises. At least my congregation and myself are safe! Good enough for me! Too bad for those who lack sufficient righteousness, but it's really not my problem. I've got mine, after all. Praise!
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

Praise the Lord! Now this is what we call real Bible preaching.
