    Leviticus 20:9

    For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him.

    It's more succinct than Deuteronomy 21:18-23. I show it to my kids when they piss me off.

    I also love the bumper sticker "Nothing Fails Like Prayer"

    But, uh, Brother, before Pastor sees your bumper sticker I suggest you try to amend it to something more Godly, perhaps, "Nothing Fails To Annoy God Like Prayer."

      I was unfamiliar with that bumper sticker, until I looked it up.

      I'm more familiar with the line "Nothing Works, Like Prayer" and "Prayer Works Like Nothing".

      But friend, your use of that verse when your child angers isn't necessarily the best verse for the occasion.

      I'd think that verse would ONLY be practical were the child to actually put a hex on you, or be some sort of practicing witch.

      A better verse for an obnoxious child (in my opinion) is:

      Deuteronomy 21:18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:

      19 Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place;

      ...

      21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.

        Tell us, Sven, what manner of Christian are you that your children are casting spells against you, and you are allowing them to live? God has clearly commanded, "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live."

        It's not very confusing, is it?

        Oh, and I've corrected the typo in your bumper sticker.
