Again, it is crucial to remember that the church did not determine the canon. No early church council decided on the canon. It was God, and God alone, who determined which books belonged in the Bible. It was simply a matter of God’s imparting to His followers what He had already decided. The human process of collecting the books of the Bible was flawed, but God, in His sovereignty, and despite our ignorance and stubbornness, brought the early church to the recognition of the books He had inspired. Do you believe in God or not, son? Really, it's a simple question.

One minute you're cherry picking Bible verses, from God's book, to suit your 'beliefs', the next minute you start probing the provenance of the entire work!

At the moment you sound like a atheist. Now that's fine with me, as y'all are going to hell anyway, but you should make up your mind. Else Satan will saw you in half, and torture the pieces in different parts of hell, for all eternity. At least, that's how I choose to imagine it. Most likely you will merely be cast into a lake of fire:

"And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:11-15

Do I believe in God? Absolutely yes. And I believe in His Son, and the Holy Spirit-- the blessed Trinity. And yes, I also believe that His adversary exists, Satan.

I am at times guilty of defending a belief with Scripture, feel free to correct me at any time Mr. Hopkins, and interacting with you has been a pleasure!

Well, I think it's clear that you side with God's adversary, Mr Shampoo, but I refuse to believe that you are him. Cease and desist with your trolling activities.

This is slightly unrelated but I'm trying to get to grips with the Bible. It's true that God is all-good and all-knowing, correct?

Friend, I'm a teacher by trade (a home educator). I can tell you that the very best way to learn and know something is to experience it yourself. Why not read the Holy Bible so you can know who God is and what He is like?

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Well, yes, but can you atleast point me to the verses that involve my question?
Also, is there any reference to lust in it? If so, can you refer me?

Nice try, heathen. Instead of playing "gotcha" with True Christians(tm) on His favorite forum, why don't you drop to your knees and beg Him to take charge of your life. Way less sodomy that way.
