    A good tactic

Remember what Abraham did before he was Abraham and was only Abram. If you think your wife is going to be raped and you'll be killed because you're her husband, it's ok to say she's your sister and then you'll be left alone. You may even be paid for her services, but don't worry God will get them.

    Genesis 12

"11": And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:

"12": Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.

"13": Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee.

"14": And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair.

"15": The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house.

"16": And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

"17": And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife.
    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Amen, Brother Mayfield. It is always thoughtful to keep this lesson in mind as we go about our daily virtuous good works for the Lord. I have faced this dilemma many times, as I have been tempted to pick up attractive female hitchhikers. We should all be concerned with what kind of pestilence that may befall us from the vengeance of the Lord. The misfortune of others is often God's just punishment and we should not interfere with His will.

    Praise Jesus!
    Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
    ...and get off my lawn

Brother Eliot, how could I have forgotten this delightful story about "Pimp Daddy" Abram and his wife, "Sugah" Sarai!

Yes, gentlemen. Harlotry is a horrific sin, and you should stone your wife if she sleeps around; however, renting out your wife by the week (or possibly hour) is fine and dandy with God!

I do hope the True Christian ladies will begin thinking of wealthy men who could give substantial gifts to their "brothers"!
