I realize that this a huge necropost, but I saw this thread and just had to say something.

You, Pastor Ezekiel, are missing the entire point of Christianity, which is FORGIVENESS. Your hate for homosexuals and anyone that you deem a "sinner" sickens me, and the fact that you are a pastor makes me question your entire church. You are a sinner, get over it. So is every other human on the planet, including me. Your job as a Christian is to be loving to everyone, including homosexuals and sinners (I can pull out some scripture for this if you want me to).

Jesus forgave you. After being so hugely forgiven, what right do you have not to forgive others? None.

Now on to the main point: Rock.
There is nothing wrong with rock itself. True, some bands may not be the kind of stuff a Christian should be listening to, but that is specific to each band, not something you can throw over an entire genre. There are plenty of Christian rock bands, even some pretty hardcore ones like Underoath, August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, ect.
