My most favoritest part of the Bible:
"And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
And Paul went down and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.
When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.
and they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted."
-----------------------------------------------------------
Correct me if I am wrong Brothers and Sisters, but is this not the ONLY documented case of a person actually being bored to death?
And does God not shine forth His Glory in that Paul, who had been given (apparently) the power to bore people to death, was also given the power to restore them to life so that they might continue to be bored further?
May I present myself with all meekness, Pastors of LBC, but can I have your guarantee that if one of you should bore me to death that you will be able to restore me to life?
Maybe if you all wore brighter ties . . .
Excitedly Yours,
Handmaiden
