When they all arrived at Kirjathhuzoth it turned out that Balak was not going to get any curses. We already knew this of course because Balaam was quite clear that he'd only be saying what God told him to say. Balak however was trying to do rational thinking. Perhaps he'd thought that if. military adventurers can be overcome using curses and because. there are so many Israelites headed for their Promised Land then. what I need is some curses.

But instead, as directed by God, it was three blessings from three different vantage points and regardless of how many Israelites there were all of them were covered.

Numbers 23:23 Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!

Just as the donkey's mouth had been opened so were Balaam's eyes. Looking far off into the future he described events he could not have known unless his eyes were opened. And for that to happen his donkey's mouth had to have been freed. All of which required the donkey to see the angel, to turn in her tracks crushing Balaam's foot. This is how we know God delivered The Israelites from Egypt.

Numbers 24:15b-17 Balaam the son of Beor hath said,
.And the man whose eyes are open hath said:
. He hath said, which heard the words of God,
. .And knew the knowledge of the most High,
. . Which saw the vision of the Almighty,
. . .Falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

Balaam provides a witness for us. Often it's claimed that so great a number as left Egypt could not pass unnoticed and therefore The Exodus should be questioned. There are multiple witnesses here however including Balak, king of the Moabites, together with several high ranking princes. The denizens of Moab were distressed at just how many Israelites there were and what they might have been about to do. Balak sought to curse The Israelites.

Numbers 22:5-6 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me. Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed.

I've underlined two salient points made by the king concerning The Israelites, namely that there were large numbers of them and that that he could easily be overwhelmed. Several delegations of princes were sent to Balaam to get him to curse The Israelites and he explained to God what the princes wanted. Of course God already knew how many Israelites there were and Balaam explained to the princes that he wouldn't be saying anything contradicting God.

Numbers 22:12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.

After a few more princely delegations God told Balaam to go with them. It is so important to trust God. What follows results in not only the donkey's mouth being opened. God opens Balaam's eyes to the future, a future he describes, a future we have seen fulfilled.

Numbers 22:20-22a God came unto Balaam at night, and said unto him, If the men come to call thee, rise up, and go with them; but yet the word which I shall say unto thee, that shalt thou do. And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab. And God's anger was kindled because he went

An armed angel was sent to block Balaam's way. There was a wall on either side of the path between two vineyards and the donkey could see the angel so stopped. But even if she'd started bunting into the angel with her head neither she nor her passenger were going anywhere, were they. Balaam flipped out (he couldn't see the angel) clobbering the donkey who, in turn, crushed his foot up against the wall and then fell down so Balaam got really angry. Two important things happened:

1. God opened the donkey's mouth to speak
2. God opened Balaam's eyes to see the future

The donkey said she'd always been a good donkey so there must be a reason why I've stopped now?
Balaam said he wanted to kill the donkey.
The donkey complained about Balaam's inappropriate response.
Balaam agreed she'd never done this before.
Then the angel stepped in.

Numbers 22:31,35 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.….and the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

Great point! Once you can believe that unicorns are real (Job 39:9-10), Sun and Moon can stop in their tracks for a few hours (Joshua 10:13), Earth has four corners (Revelation 7:1), you can change color of the animals' offspring by having the cattle conceive in the vicinity of wooden rods (Genesis 30:37-41), and donkeys can talk (Numbers 22:28-30, 2 Peter 2:16), you will be on the right track!

As a negro man that has a little bit of education behind me, really needed this sermon badly.

Being taught to over analyze everything in life, has made me a person with no true faith or direction in life. And that was because I didn't believe in anything, not even myself. But I know now that the minute I start to questioning anything that comes from the Bible, is the day that God is going to punish me for not being a true follower.

The whole sermon was wonderful, but the following quotes stood out the most for me:

To encourage man to abstain from rational thinking, God often punishes those who try to supplant obedience to God with this evil way of thinking:

Deuteronomy 29:19-20:
And it come to pass, when he heareth the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, to add drunkenness to thirst:
The LORD will not spare him, but then the anger of the LORD and his jealousy shall smoke against that man, and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, and the LORD shall blot out his name from under heaven.

God warns you: if you think you can decide for yourself what and what not to do, instead of obeying His Law, He will destroy you.

Knowing that God will destroy me, if I don't obey His Law, truly puts the fear in my heart. And I always knew that acting like I was smart, only took me further away from God, and not closer. I just didn't have the faith back than, that I have now.

You cannot understand the Bible rationally, you need to believe in it, and only then you will see it starts to make sense. Until that time, you are deluded:

Philippians 4:6-7:
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

I never had faith in my life, nor did I believe in anything...I do believe there's a first for everything, and I'm choosing to start believing in the Bible, and never question anything that's in it.

Matthew 11:25-26:
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.
Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

You cannot see the Wisdom of the Bible, because God has hidden it from you. Be like a child (which means unquestionably accepting of whatever God tells you in the Bible), and you will go to Heaven.

I need to start being like a child again, because I don't want to go to hell, and I want to become a good Christian. I will accept whatever God tells me in the Bible, because I'm starting to see that He along, is the only person that can save my soul.

It seems that Paul was really getting the hang of it while writing the first epistle to the Corinthians:

1 Corinthians 8:2-3:
And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothingyet as he ought to know.
But if any man love God, the same is known of him.

Don’t try to discover things, because you will never know things. You should love God instead.

I'm done doing more than I need to be doing, because that has only made me into a thinker and not a true follower.

I'm going to love God instead, and focus my life on only being a good servant to Him, and nothing else.

Don't worry, I am not. I am just questioning any person but Jesus Christ. I am not saying everybody sins again after his salvation, but I know everybody sinned before he got saved. If a person never sinned at all, he wouldn't need salvation. While Jesus TRULY NEVER sinned. 2 Corinthians 5:21 does declare that. We can be exactly like Jesus, but nobody was like Jesus before he got saved. That is the difference. We are perfect since our spiritual birth, Jesus since his physical birth.

Just to understand what you're claiming, God explains His material in The Epistles.—.together with other sources.—.and I'm happy to quote them of course, yet got it wrong about money?

To recap:

Amen, that's correct! All the prophesies proof the Bible is complete truth! Many argue whether the Gap theory is true or not. Well, there is a lot of debate going on. But if we see what really happened, then we see our final authority is the 1611 King James Bible.

Let us ask ourselves, from whence did Paul gather all the information about True Things™? The answer is as follows:

Galatians 1:11-12
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

To disagree with Paul is to disagree with Jesus Christ! Please, tell us what caused you to think that you know things better than Jesus did? It is totally unimportant what the actual issue of disagreement is: What matters is that you do not accept what Paul said, i.e., you defy Jesus. Where else do you disagree with the Bible? Well, it doesn't matter. One failure equals total failure

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Do you think that the "guilty of all" encompasses Matthew 12:31? I think that you need to start discussing these things in depth instead of running amok across all imaginable threads of this Wonderful Forum. You need to focus and not just flaunt your capability of producing lots of typewriting. I think that the questions I presented you form the Big Issue. Please reciprocate and do not avoid the possibly disastrous ramifications of these developments.

I am not a sinner. There is no such thing as a Christian who is still a sinner. 1 Timothy 1:15 is horribly misinterpreted in which Paul talks about his past life before he became a Christian. In 1 Corinthians 6:11 he says we are sanctified.

We have to stay biblical. Paul also - correctly - accused to Corinthians of sinning (1 Corinthains 3:1-4), yet him as well as them were Christians. Shocking, but true. I do not agree with what the Apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:15 tho. There he has missed the mark, but he was being humble (1 Peter 5:5). I think James 5:16 sets a great example here. God bless

What do you make of Romans 7, then? Did Paul "miss the mark" here too? Is this another instance where the Holy Spirit, who inspired all Scripture, "got it wrong"?

About your definition, I think I was clear. Sister Mitza is not trying to make you learn nothing. So, it is not teaching. It is rude from you to suggest she is sinning, and therefore not a Christian and going to Hell.

Quoting the Bible to correct you is not teaching you. She just shows what's in the Bible. She has no opinion of her own, neither is trying that you learn something.
If the prohibition to teach could be applied to preaching the Bible outside Church, women could not be out saving sinners. And you are still a sinner, my friend, so you need all the help you can get.
I know you are trying hard, but the path is narrow and the gate is strait. The reward is what makes this unique.

Thank you, I always ripped this passage out of context and taught it had just to do with proofing that money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). That shouldn't have happened since I always keep Christ's commandments, which aren't grieveous (1 John 5:3). Even though women are not supposed to teach at all (1 Timothy 2:12), here this one was helpful.
