Why are people on here always quoting the Bible OUT OF CONTEXT?
Really, I don't know how often I see the Bible quoted out of context on here. A few example of the worst kinds.
1. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
People claim these this means that God loves everyone. But that's note true. The Greek word that is translated as "world" here is actually "Kosmos", which never means every individual of mankind who has ever lived. In John 17:9, Jesus specifies that he is only interested in the "world" of His believers, not the outside world.
John 17: 9I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
The Bible also tells us that God hates certain people.
Romans 9: 13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
God in fact hates ALL workers of iniquity.
Psalm 5: 5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

God is only love towards SOME people, the ones who are saved.
Romans 9: 13As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
As you read in the rest of the chapter, Jacob is symbolic for the saved, and Esau for the damned. God does not love those who break His law.
Leviticus 20: 23And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.
