The Pope announced today he will ask for forgiveness for the sins of the Catholic Church. When we look at the embrace of homerism and trans, one has to wonder is one request for forgiveness will be enough?

I don't see how any pope, or anyone else who repudiates the teachings of Jesus, can be called a Christian. Unless it were proposed there never was a Jesus (except in the sense that "Jesus" is a name—a Greek name, as it happens—so there must have been people generally called "Jesus") and what we now call "Christianity" was cooked up by the pontiffs in the first place to amalgamate their pagan temples into one single cult with a sort of super-pontiff at its helm. They could keep all the idols intact, rename them and stuff, just as had happened from Babylon via Egypt up through Canaan, Lebanon, Syria into Turkey which was essentially Greek (eventually) as was half of Italy: all the same idols: all with language-appropriate names and culture-appropriate clothing. What would that look like after a few millennia?
    .
The answer is that it wouldn't exist because it's obviously ridiculous (pretty much what the Pre-Socratic philosophers worked out) but it does exist. Rome offers a total solution, with sacraments every few years to reinforce the message and numerous disincentives for e.g. marrying a Baptist. Occasionally they recant an earlier piece of nonsense, when it becomes SO implausible that anyone could refute it. They do not refund the fees charged in those cases, however. This latest stunt:
"What I allowed was not to bless the union; that cannot be done, because that is not the sacrament," he said. "I cannot. The Lord made it that way. But to bless each person? Yes. The blessing is for everyone."

Can it even get more pretzel? To commend each participant in an enterprise yet condemn the enterprise as a whole? And from the source adopted, whether or not ever actually followed, the condemnation is explicit and very strong. You don't have to agree with it – but if you don't, yet say you do, then get asked questions.. well I think Cole Porter understood about pretzel logic:

Now the Pope is going further in his quest to leave the Christian faith. He said those of us who stay with the Bible, who read it and follow what it says, are "suicidal." I guess he means the Christian faith will not survive unless it changes.

What nonsense. Change, such as what the Pope wants, will kill the Christian faith. God wrote down in the Bible what we are to believe. Our job, and that of the Pope, is to believe it, not change it. Change is suicide for Christianity, not the strict discipline of following the Bible to the letter.

Catholics, you need to convert to the real Christianity at Landover Baptist Church. Your Pope has gone off the rails.

Well, I think we can guess what goes on behind those closed doors, dear Brother Mayor Hold — and it has nothing to do with Holy living! I am reminded of an article that was sent to me by Agatha (my sister), about some monkey business between a priest and a model. Surely, there is no way that this can have the look of innocence:

And, beyond the photo, the story gets particularly horrible:

New York priest accused of stealing $1m to pay for gay sex, drugs, house steps down

A priest from the Archdiocese of New York who has been accused by his parishioners of stealing as much as $1 million from his parish to pay for gay sex with a bodybuilding "slave master" called Keith Crist and illegal drugs has stepped down as pastor of St Frances de Chantal in the Bronx.

Alleged details of Fr Miqueli's conduct began to emerge after the former girlfriend of Crist told the New York Post newspaper that she emailed Cardinal Dolan earlier this year, with details of Fr Peter Miqueli's alleged activities.

In her email she said that Crist had told her that Fr Miqueli, 52, enjoyed $300 bottles of Scotch and would pay Crist $1,000 an hour for the sex sessions that would take place at a white brick ranch house in New Jersey that she alleged was bought in cash from funds embezzled from the church.

In 2012, the whistleblower added, the priest and his "master", spent $60,000 on "illicit and prescription drugs". It was claimed that the money came from the poor box in the church and the profits from a charity shop that the parish runs.

With this kind of sinful activity going on in the Cathyolick "church", it is no wonder that their priests think it is perfectly fine to bless the abomination known as "gay" marriage!

Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

The Pope didn't just open the Vatican to trans sex workers. Everyone who has lived or worked in the Vatican from the Middle Ages up to today has been a trans sex worker.

In many respects, Jesus is tolerant of personal foibles. Where specific prohibitions are concerned: not so much. From the piece:

She hurried into the Vatican's cavernous Paul VI Audience Hall and was ushered to the front row. Before her, a 23-foot-tall bronze sculpture of Jesus gazed down. Behind her, the faithful flashed curious looks
BANG! Right there. There is no such thing as a sculpture of Jesus. Even idols of frogs are prohibited by God, or caricatures or whatever you want to call them. Say if a frog were elected pope, how would God react? (Foucault's lexicon acceptable in this case.)

    Thank you.

    Pope Welcomes Trans Sex Workers

There have been several meetings between the Pope and trans sex workers. He invites them to the Vatican and they feel welcome. Is this the Christian way? Where does it say in the Bible Christians are to get all lovey-dovey with these sinners?
