Why Christians should read Gene Wolfe's Books

Greetings to all the people living in Freehold and beyond.

Recently, they've reprinted in my country a book series made by a Sci-fi author named Gene Wolfe. Before anyone asks: yes, he is a trustworthy individual as he is a Catholic. Or better, he was before he departed and went in the same place where Chesterton and Tolkien are dwelling now.

His most famous work is The Book of the New Sun, which is infused by his own Catholicism, which was proud of it. The protagonist is a torturer on a journey to repent himself from his sins.

I advise every member of this forum to give a copy of these book to your kids in order to teach them the Gospel of Our Lord and Saviour.

    Thanks for listening!

Let's see here. A Catholic who wrote fiction. Is there any other kind of Catholic?

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Well, he didn't just wrote some Holy fiction. He also invented Pringles:

        Those who read fiction?

I must say, the graphics representing catholics are singularly unprepossessing.

When uploading popish torturers, go for those actually saying "Look out! Do what I tell you or I'll torture you to death!!"
Now, in the interregnum, popes prefer muttering to seem innocuous but if they ever get their foot(s) in the door it will be burnings at the stake and crunching of hipbones all over again. Having no evidence whatsoever for their ludicrous position, torture and indoctrination is all they got.

It's a 2 step process: first, get rid of The Bible (they have their own gizmo on stand-by as a substitute) and second, claim preexisting "tradition" as valid – forcing it into law wherever possible.

Fiends: pay attention! It didn't work in Europe (maybe for a century or so..) and it won't work here. Get a life.

I forgot to upload the rest of his books. Feel free to read them when you're not praying to Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. They might help you understand how beautiful is the Catholic doctrine.

            a. I don't like the sound of #2 (depicted) much.

It is the name of the Earth in that world.

Do your people promote the "many worlds" hypothesis?

I will not be reading this Gene Wolfe if he lends credence to nonsense of that type.

Of course the books do not promote that nonsense. Urth is the Earth in a distant future where the world is back to a new Middle Ages.

Oh. I see. How can it be the middle ages if it's in the future? The middle of what? The distant future and the even more distant future? For someone like Thomas Aquinas that's where we are now. I'm getting confused.
