  • Catholics, Kick these Nuns Out

The Catholic Church and the Pope could learn so much about management from Pastor Zeke. Just now, a convent in Spain with the silly name of "Poor Clares of Belorado" has been ordered out of their building but refuse to leave. They ran into a little trouble with the Pope and were excommunicated. But, he doesn't seem to have the cajónes to get rid of them. They are camped out in the building. If the Vatican would just call for help from Pastor Zeke the nuns would be gone.

FACING EVICTION A GROUP OF NUNS ARE
NOW SQUATTERS IN THEIR OWN CONVENTS

I can see why they want to sell the joint! Pix in news items looked like something the Tzar would have commissioned for a winter palace. I decided to check it out.

When I use the adjective "poor" as a rule I don't imaging anyone living in such conditions to be included. They may not have any money but, let's face it, if I were living there with food laid on and no doubt wine is available (whether they drink it or not is another matter!) with what looks like good availability of firewood (again, they may choose to freeze but really I don't think much freezing takes place in Spain) where's the need for money? Give it all to the pope: he hasn't got any either. Perhaps that's the real reason he wants to boot them out?

Nuns are supposed to take vows of celibacy, poverty and obedience. Considering the fancy digs they enjoy and their utter incalcitrance, they're probably engaged in regular orgies.

Very good observation, Sister Handmaiden---You have to believe the reason the nuns have been kicked out is sin. If they were just teaching in Catholic schools and singing after dinner every night they would not be in so much trouble. Huge buildings signal lots of money. Really suspicious.

And apparently they had funds available to buy another one. Before the existing pile was disposed of. They'd say if they are The Order and The Order owns the bricks & mortar then they own the facility and are free to.. or MOTHER SUPERIOR is ..change venues at the last moment. There's probably a stage rider from the 8th century hanging around somewhere.

Moving forward, 12 centuries for the pedantic, wasn't there something about the French Pyrenees and the nuns of Bruges? Yes. There was. Great city, one of my European fave raves - but for wine, Flanders is not so noted and a move to the Pyrenees is understandable. Check this out:

          https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1990-03-30-mn-200-story.html

The Bruges Diocese was rocked this month by two bizarre episodes: The conversion of a convent into a luxury hotel by a defrocked nun and the sale of another convent by eight nuns who fled in a limousine to the south of France . . . One episode involves eight members of the Order of the Poor Clares, aged 62 to 93, who sold their convent in Bruges—without the Pope’s permission—for $1.4 million. They promptly bought a castle in the French Pyrenees, a farm, 11 racehorses and six luxury cars. Authorities this week charged a former financial adviser to the nuns, Ronny Crab, 35, with swindling the sisters through abuse of trust to gain control of their financial affairs. Meanwhile, about 20 miles from Bruges, a former nun is converting part of the Arme Klaren convent in Nieuwpoort into a hotel, complete with pink bathrooms. Maria Logghe, 49, was dismissed by the bishop two years ago for a lifestyle “not in accordance with the church,” including fancy clothes and a penchant for smoking cigars and driving fast cars.
I was not aware that fast cars were prohibited to the movers & shakers of Rome's extortion racket. How do we know it's a racket? Because when they renounced their Limbo scam—presuming that priests extracting the oil from suckers hoping to rehabilitate their loved ones (babies etc.) were actually getting messages from Above to confirm success (very unlikely if one's second mortgage was still liquid) but now, according to the new doctrine, they never had been because Limbo never existed—refunds were not forthcoming. Tell it to BISHOP Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst.

Just as I suggested, an entire nun enterprise based on fast cars, race horses and probably secrets kept hidden:
